What Do I Need To Buy?

So, here's an odd question.

I'm downloading the COH client as I write this as it seemed easier than reinstalling my massive stack of disks from back in the day but, I'm curious, what exactly is included with that download? Just COH? COH and COV? Going Rogue?

I already own COH and COV but I stopped playing before GR. What do I need to purchase, if anything, to get the FULL City of Heroes experience? Thanks

You won't need to reinstall anything after that download, but if you just had COH and COV, you'd need to buy Going Rogue. (If you only had COH before, you'll have COV now. If you only had COV before, you'll have COH before. But it sounds like you had both.)

Everything else is just costume/emote/etc. packs - nice to have, but not locking you out of missions, etc.

The downloaded client always contains all available content, your account determines which parts of that content you can access. As GG said, to get access to everything currently, you'd need to purchase Going Rogue but if you search around you should be able to get it for near or below the price of a month's subscription and it comes with a free month

First of all, buy the complete collection not the expansion - the complete version includes a month.

Most people will recommend the animal or natural boosters for the run power they grant - faster than sprint, beter jumping than combat jumping, it's a nice travel power (Beast run and Ninja run have the same stats. Just different animations.

You need to purchase a wife - she will then take control of the situation - she will forbid the paying (and playing) of this nonsensical childish intrusion into your marital bliss, and you will be left with a feeling of 'I have done something good for my marriage today' and live happily ever after!!
Bless ya! x

It's funny...SO much has changed since the last time I played this game.

Back then, my wife and I were in a bad patch in our marriage. I'd play for hours at a time and she'd get wicked pissed at me. But since then we've really worked HARD on our marriage (which now rocks, by the way) and we do many more things together...and that now includes playing MMOs.

We've done WOW together and now that we're bored with that I'm looking forward to showing her around what I still consider to be my all-time favorite game.

I'd rather spend the day getting root canals without anesthetic while being repeatedly kicked in the crotch than go to a Twilight movie or read one of the books.

No one ever said being married was easy.

It's twilight, not a brady bunch marathon.

Either take the anesthetic or skip the kicks.

Trust me, the movies are the lesser of two evils. At least they are competently made. The books on the other hand are horribly written disgraces to literature.

Unless of course you have the good sense to marry a gamer. My husband did.

The only way I would make that deal is if she knew how much I would be laughing during the movies. The only male I know of who saw those movies without female involvement was addicted to alcohol and pain medication. He also tended to watch about half of the bottom 10 of the year for movies.
