I was wondering how the [Fortunata Hypnosis: Chance for Placate.50] works in action. I have an Electric/invuln tanker and was thinking about putting it into Jacob's Ladder. Wasn't sure how it would would work for a tanker. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

As a tanker, why would you want to placate anything?

As to your actual question, the enemy would stop attacking you and move to the next enemy on its aggro list, when the IO proced. However, if you attacked it (and that includes hitting it with any taunt, damage, or debuff aura), then the placate would break, and it would come back to you.

Thanks. I suppose it'd be good for elect controllers. Was hoping it was more than that. Well, replaced with perfect zinger proc.. Thanks for the info.

Chance for Placate only works on the initial cast of Static Field, so no, it's not particularly good for Electric Controllers/Dominators either.

Last I heard it was broken and did nothing at all; has that changed recently?

That could also be the case, haven't tested it myself. Kind of a moot point though, it's either worthless or mostly worthless.

Technically it would work continuously like any other proc in a drop power - however, after the initial cast, the patch is the caster, and would receive the benefit of the proc. Which is useless for the Player.

Would the Placate proc be useful for a Stalker?

If it is working and not broken, what power would you place it in for maximun effect?

Actually if anyone has a use for this whatsoever, that might be helpful. Only one I can think of is "purple set bonus."

If it's working correctly, that shouldn't be the case. It should work like procs in other Pseudo Pet or Rain powers, i.e. checking every 10 sec.
