The Best Min-Maxing Pet still Warworks?
I don't even have Lore unlocked on anyone yet, so I don't have a favorite. But in the thread in Player Guides that's supposed to calculate the damage capabilities Cimerorans were the clear "winner" in terms of ST DPS.
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

cim or warworks are still the highest DPS
in terms of actual use like buff/debuff i prefer to go with other pets, but if you want pure dmg then warworks or cimerorans (warworks makes up for slight dps loss through -regen)
Has testing like this been done with all the new Lore pets? From a pure damage perspective is there a clear winner? What's everyone's favourite new pet?
There's so many to choose from now I have no idea what to pick. I'm not really a concept person generally so I'm open to all sorts of opinions/raw data etc! Thanks. Tux. |
A lot of this discussion revolves around what you consider min/max.
For pure ST damage, it's still cimmy's.
For maximum overall damage, I think it's Viccy and her boy toy ACU, and in a crowd the ACU is giving Viccy a run for her money over who is doing moar damage.
But I'm looking very hard at the combo of Viccy and battle orb. You get the ST punch of the Victoria pet combined with a group-wide buff that ALSO buffs the Viccy.
Dead pets do no DPS.
If you want more AOE, I've heard good things about the IDF.
So it depends on what you're shooting for. Or shooting at, I suppose.....

EDIT: Oh, and the Longbow Cataphract/Warden look like they could be a potent combo.. Does it vary on which type of warden you get?

Was not a fan of the combination. Much prefer the victoria/acu combination. With the aoe buff change, most of your pets will be over buffed anyway. (in teams that is) Solo, the orb has never really made a noticeable difference to me.
Seers still considered good buffers? Or are there a lot better options out there now?

Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.
The Seers are still good, but I like the Storm Elementals if I am looking for survivability. A decent heal, +perception, sleep and stun protection, end drain resistance, and a 30% to-hit debuff and a 60% range debuff.

And yeah I have the Battle Orb on my Fire/Cold.. I team about 99% of the time and it's pretty useless tbh, I will eventually craft up to T4 Vic/ACU I think.

storm elementals have the hurricane as mentioned above
rularuu buffer has a pbaoe +50% dmg power for 30 sec (the rech on it is kind of long though)
phantoms buffer has adrenaline boost (about 50% strength of the player version, lasts little over a minute, rech in 4 min so can use it twice per summon)
vanguard buffer has assault for extra 7.5% dmg as well as taunt and placate resist (placate resist useful in trials due to the vickies) and has twilight grasp for heal which slightly debuffs the baddy and good aoe heal
i havent looked too much at all of the buffers but those were the ones that really stood out to me
Both AM and AD from Lore pets are pretty a ghetto version of the existing powers. Also pet duration is 5 min, power recharge is 4. You wil be VERY lucky if you get it twice... in 15 minutes. The power of these buffs, on players, is that they can be nearly perma o you can rely on them.

Which is hilarious because I've got two of them and haven't bothered to even try the new AOE buffs yet, I should quit slackin'
Is it me or I feel Clockwork does a lot of range dps? Their damage type is all energy-based.
Where is Clockwork ranked in terms of ST dps? It feels very high to me. Higher than Seer's.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
