Wishful Thinking: Alternative Animations for Peacebringers
I've got one. I had this idea for a shapeshift animation.
Picture this: You activate your shapeshift power and the character gets this glowing white aura and you hear a loud booming sound and then you're shapeshifted. I know my idea sounds a lot like the current shapeshift, but mine is only half of a second long.

Personally, I'd like to have the alt animation for footstomp (groundpunch) as an option for solar flare. And the PB clone blast to not use the old flares animation. It looks horrible.
I've never liked the Total-Focus clones 'floaty floaty thud!' animation. Far too slow, not enough punch.

When footstomp got the alternate this should have gotten the same.
The PB cone looks weak, and yet it has more base damage than the TAoE. Perhaps the Gravitic Emanation animation (try saying that five times fast) would work here? (I know it's considerably faster. That's half the point.)
Total Focus. It is a cool animation. To me, you get that "here it comes... HERE IT COMES... BOOM!" out of it, but it spends too long of a time coming. Could we just speed it up? Across the board. I'd also like to see KO Blow as an option here.

Re:Total Focus; I think it's the speed of the animation. It's far too floaty, and the impact lacks...well...impact? KO blow is a good one; the final sweep is fast and punchy. I'd actually argue for TF and its clones to be a massive one handed punch. The jump would be up faster, small hangtime, and then a punishing downstrike with a more solid landing stance. The landing stance looks *really* insecure, and thus ruins any feeling of impact, for me at least.

Most PB powers were derived from Super Strength, energy blast, and rad blast. Those sets have alternate animations so most of the work has already been done. I wouldn't be against importing kinetic melee animations as well.

But yes, some new animations or customization options should be done... they have plenty of choices (ground punches, sweeps of the arms), just no action taken to spread them to Kheldians. *sighs*

Grey Pilgrim: Fire/Fire Tanker (50), Victory
I'd like Dwarf Form get an option to NOT turn us into the giant Lobster Man from Outer Space. What I'd like to see is the energy boom we already have, then our regular character costume with the energy aura effects from Shining and Thermal Shield on them.
Think of how great that option would be for Humanform Kheld players. Wanna be tough? Well, instead of morphing into a giant bug, you focus your energy inwards, temporarily supressing your ranged abilities to augment your physical toughness and hand to hand capabilities. Khelds are masters of energy manupliation, right? Not so far fetched to allow us that cosmetic option.
Same with Nova. So we can still RP our characters as Humanform only, but instead of lowering our overall effectiveness by not taking the forms, we just change the way we "channel" our Kheld energies.

I really like the idea of focusing on Kheld's mastery of energy manipulation. I play a human-form PB, but I would consider at least one of the forms, probably both, if this were allowed.
Also, the single greatest thing I want for my PB is a change to Solar Flare. Change the KB to KU, and allow me the glorious ground-pound animation. I've never really cared for the foot stomp animation. It doesn't bother me, I've just always found it rather bland. The ground-pound is a move I've always loved in comics, and I want it. Imagine your PB's fist lighting up, then quickly striking the ground. All around him/her, energy crackles in the ground, finally bursting out with tremendous force, throwing all the bad guys into the air.

What about using the new energy transfer animation instead of the TF one? I know people don't like it much but I think that's only because it is much linger than the old one.
Just making solar flare do KD instead of KB. Would be a huge buff to PBs.

I'm fairly sure Castle and BAB were more in favor of alternate looks for the forms, or that was the impression I got... I know BAB asked people how much they really liked the look of Granite at one point. No matter what, though, changing looks of the forms in some way would take work, and it's not at all clear that such an investment would happen.

Since the Kheldian Animations are essentially unchanged since they were created ... I figured it would be nice to engage in a little wishful thinking and ponder if there are any BETTER animations that could be used for Peacebringer Powers than the legacy animations we've (still) got.
For instance ... I really wish that Incandescent Strike (3.3s casting) used the Stalker Kinetic Melee Assassin Strike (2.67s casting) animation instead, with minor tweaking of the GFX to be less "swirly ball" and more "Kheldian puff ball-y" for the power.
By the same token, I kinda wish that Solar Flare used Kinetic Melee's (PBAoE) Burst animation (2.67s) for the character, keeping the legacy GFX, rather than using the Footstomp Clone (2.1s) that we've got right now.
I'd love to be able to use Martial Arts' Cobra Strike's palm strike animation (1.67s) for the character on Radiant Strike (1.07s), just for the beauty of the old Cobra Strike animation.
Can anyone else suggest any other animations used by other powers(ets) in the game as it exists today that would look really good if ported over to Peacebringers to replace our legacy animations?
