Unlocking Origin Stores

I have a level 50 Magic origin Corruptor that started as a villain, and just made the switch to full hero. For giggles, I tried to unlock the Magic origin store in Brickstown. Except I can't. When I first talked to Serafina, she made some mention of doing her a favor, but the only options were "Ask about this store," or "leave." When I clicked on "Ask about the store," it took me to her store, but there was nothing available to purchase. I came back a bit later, and now she just mentions something about establishing a link to the entities, but still nothing available to purchase in her store.

Is this a bug, or working as intended?

Working as Intended. You outleveled her. The origin stores in FF and Bricks sell lvl 35 and 40 enhancers. Ghost Falcon in PI sells lvl 40-50 enhancers. But all of these unlockable contacts became moot with the vendor in the RWZ. He sells lvl 35-50 enhancers of all origins and does not need to be unlocked.

Originally, before Flashback was added, you could unlock the stores at any level past the minimum.

IOs also helped make those stores irrelevant. A level 35 common IO has 36.70% enhancement. A +3 SO is 38.33%. When I hit level 32 I just switch to level 35 commons and go with them from that point until I hammer out an IOed out build.

In addition to Ghost Falcon, General Hammond in FBZ is another 40-50 unlockable store.

His unlock though is is a few of clicks and running round within a couple of hundred yards of him.

I like to use the 30-40 stores to help me with my aura hunts. (Penny for DE, Holstein Armitage for Rikti with Freaks from a paper)

Armitage has the additional benefit of unlocking Oro if you don't have it yet.

Don't forget the NPC store in Cimerora.

And don't forget that the RWZ, Midnighter's Club, and Cimerora Stores give you the highest return when selling back Enhancements. They actually buy them back at a higher rate than the Origin Specific stores in the various City Zones.

if youre in it for the story arc though, you can use ouro to unlock that thread right? but as far as gettign the best return for stores and stuff... many other options as everyone has posted above.

I think the OP did mention he wanted to open the store "for giggles" so I'm guessing he's already aware of where all the stores are.

Serafina is listed in the Wiki as a level 30-50 contact so that's obviously wrong. I know I tried to run the science store in Bricks during a late-run aura mission (42nd I think) and he wouldn't talk to me either so I had to go to Borea to get my rikti. I'd be interested in what the real upper limits are for those stores. Is it 30-40?

I have Golden Avariel up to 38 now (or will soon). I'll have to go and talk to the stores I don't have open yet (like Serafina) at each of the next few levels and see when they stop.

Of course, now I'm wondering if it really is 40 or if it is 39 like a normal level 35 contact.
