Thank Goodness It's Mission Architect Thursday!
I really liked # 529832 The Rularularian. Well done, professional quality and fun to play.
Today, I joined players from the Freedom server for Arc The Consequences of War #227331 by @Dalghryn
While we faced a familiar enemy in the Rikti, we came across some extra heroes along the way the help turn the tides of battle and also experienced some pretty excellent environments. And the dialogue, for lack of a better word, was fantastic. It's well worth your time to play through it!
Thanks Freedom and thank you @dalghryn!

And does this count as a FPARN?

#529832 Rularularian was recommended to me too and it was a great arc. I don't play in the Shard a lot so I wasn't super familiar with all the canon material that the story used as background but it was well developed with lots of interesting detail in the dialog and plot. The fights include a variety of enemies and some big climactic fights with various helper NPCs you can recruit beforehand. Very well done over all.

Any idea when more capability will be added to mission architect. Like warwalkers, beam rifle, etc?

I'm guessing that's because there's no good way to charge players for updating it, so there's little impetus to do so. Selling market points to players seems to be the main thrust of the game now, so we're pretty much in the PVP boat at this point.
On the other hand, we can still get a lot done with what we already have, so things could be worse. |
Granted the AE community is just a subset of the player-base, but its not like its new stuff they need to make--just stuff to unlock for AE authors willing to throw their store points that way.
(Oh and thanks for the rec for Rularularian!)

They could do that, sure. They could put in some work and actually redesign some parts of the MA to make things work better too. They also could change up the reward structure to bribe people back into the MA such as some merits for playing DC arcs or something (it seems to have worked well with the SSA arcs). But.
After putting in the man-hours to set up the pay-for-new-AE-stuff as you suggested, currently they'd probably clear maybe $11.98 for their troubles (unless one of those maps or power sets makes for good farming). AE authors are a very small subset these days and like PVP or base-building I doubt there's much to be made off them, so the devs probably won't try for that simple plan. Last time I saw the devs asked about anything for the MA, they either mentioned maps, updated Tsoo or said "we currently have no plans..."
Personally, I'm guessing that they decided the whole thing was a debacle - no one cringes after getting their fingers singed like a coprorate entity - and have vowed to never sink another dime or minute into it. But they also won't just pull it outright as that would make them look like they've admitted defeat. Better to pretend the 'defeat' doesn't exist, outside of the occasional wan PR move that costs them maybe one hour (see this thread's purpose).
This evening I joined some Triumphant ones for Mission #347594 - Nova Roma: American Empire by @Liberty X.
This had one epic story line! A rift in time, the Roman Legion battling against Germans with machine guns? Kidnapping of current leadership & threatening Paragon City!
Thanks to those who joined me and thank you @Liberty X for the excellent mission!

and the exalted ones? :'(
Hi,
I was wondering (if possible) if you'd be able to start posting what times and servers you'll be joining for Thursday's AE events. Channel VIP likes to keep track of these events and let people know where they're held and when.
Thanks!

Two Thursdays have now come and gone with no new activity..
I can understand if schedules and or responsibilities prohibit proceding with this program on or at its regularly scheduled times but is it too much to ask for ;
"Hey folks, a bit busy here, can't run anything tonight, see you next week"
or
"Still overwhelmed gang, sorry, we'll be back on schedule Soon™!"
or
"We are unable to meet the objective as previously set forth of participating every Thursday and will move forward with < insert new schedule here > . . ."
It would be really awesome to see at least one Arc run consistently every Thursday then out of four weeks one of those four chosen for a Dev's choice.. More awesome if more than one per Thursday but at least just one would suffice.
Barring the 1+1+1+1=1 schedule then a quick message as to what's going on and/or what we should expect would be immensely appreciated.

Hi all!
Apologies for being absent from this for a few weeks. Today I joined 7 players on Justice on Arc #452144: "The Murders in the RWZ Morgue" by @FredrikSvanberg. This was a mysterious and complex (albeit short) arc about a murder that took place, and your quest to find those responsible.
Joining me were:
Left to Right: Illimera, Dark Nanook, PSLAnimal, Haze Windu, Raiwen II, Limon DeLuca and Bourne Grace!
Thank you to the many people who volunteered to join us, but for whom there just wasn't room. I believe a few other groups were formed to run this, though, so everyone wins in the end!
Thank you!

Any mission goes smoothly if Paragon City's Sexiest Tank is along.

Hi everyone!
It's been a bit since we've had a chance to do a MA run, but we'd like to get back into it, and we decided today was as good a day as any to start! We ran the arc "The Extadine Lab" by @Vanden on Champion with 7 Champions (see what I did there? :-P). This short but sweet arc is a load of fun, and appeals to a broad audience! (no, I won't give away more, you'll just have to run it yourself!) Thank you to the players who joined me!

Hi everyone!
This week, I went to Exalted and ran Arc #2180 "Bricked Electronics" by @GlaziusF with 7 Exalted Ones (cwutididthar?) ^.^ (I've probably made that joke before >.< ). It was a load of fun, with a very in-depth story and lots of dialogue. The mission ran about an hour, and great fun was had by all! If mystery, intrigue, and a mutant interfacing with technology are up your alley, well, you should play this arc!
Unfortunately, one person left the party before we could take a screenshot, but here's who joined!
Thanks to those players who joined me!

Today, I joined seven players from Justice server for Arc #89438 "Facing the darkness" by @Leandro.
I must say, we were all impressed with the unique story provided by this arc and found the arc to be excellent fun. It's certainly worth a play through!
Unfortunately, due to a keyboard malfunction, I was unable to get a screenshot of the players involved! If you were there, and have a screenshot, feel free to share it as I'd love to see it!
Thanks Justice and thank you @Leandro!
