Astonishingly Necessary UI Improvements

These UI Improvements absolutely NEED to be developed:

We NEED access to more Power Trays and to be able to have more on screen.

Incarnate Powers, Temporary Powers, Accolade Powers, Day Job Accolade
Powers, and more, have all been added to the game since it's launch. We
need more space for our Power's Buttons and for Emote and Costume Change
Macros, ALL componded when playing a Kheldian. Ten Power Trays is no longer
sufficient. I suggest at least doubling the number of Power Trays.
ALSO, I suggest Power Trays with smaller capacity or a selectable capa-
city, i.e. a 3 slot Power Tray for Power Analyzers I-III would be great.

We NEED to be able to LOCK the positions of our Power Trays on our UI.

Forgive me, but I am exceptionally upset by how often my Power Trays slip
across the screen when engaged in a battle. I suggest that an animated
LOCK icon be created and made native to each individual Power Tray,
such that, a click upon the LOCK Icon will LOCK/UnLOCK the position of that
Power Tray into it's position on the UI.

We NEED to be able to LOCK the Tray Selection Arrows on our Power Trays.

Again, forgive me, but I am exceptionally upset by how often my Power Tray
changes from Power Tray 1 to Power Tray 9 when I am engaged in a battle
and am trying to activate the Power Button in Tray 1 Position 1. I suggest
that an animated LOCK icon be created and made native to each Power Tray,
such that, a click upon the LOCK Icon will LOCK/UnLOCK the Tray Selection
Arrows from switching the Power Trays.

These UI Improvements: Increased number of Power Trays, LOCK/UNLOCK Icons for both Power Tray Position and Tray Selection Arrows, are astonishingly NEEDED.

Thank you for your kind attention,

Red

You do know that you can pull up all nine power trays on the screen at once, right?

Also, we don't "need" any of this. The word you're looking for is "want."

To get more trays on screen, push the little plus symbol on the top-right of the power tray. Ten power trays is WAY more than sufficient.

Also, I was highly amused as I read this, because each time you used capslock, my brain voice started shouting, then went back to normal voice for your normal text, then shouted again, then normal, etc. It didn't help your argument.

Something I view as necessary: Enchancement window that goes up to 50+, so you can respec your character once and pull pretty much all of it's slotted enhancies out.

Ohhh yeah. I'd love to see locks implemented. I have a serious problem with shuffling power tray icons while trying to click on them in a pitched battle. This happens most often with powers where I need to specify a target location.

For the record, I do make liberal use of the numerical hotkeys--but sometimes, clicking on the power tray is far more expedient than a kotkey combo.

I'd file all of this under "Quality of Life requests," personally.

Please don't read this as a criticism, but I have yet to see such a situation.

I would rather the + sign on the trays simply added another one to the stacked 3 you start with. I hate trying to line them up neatly and then the corner bends UP the screen. I didn't ask for it to do that. Being able to attach more to the locked three with ease would be a huge boon for me.

We already have access to more power trays via the "+" button. However, I've requested the option to attach these power trays with the existing 3 in a prior thread. I just dont care for floating power trays all over the screen.

I've also run into the problem with accidentally clicking the right shift arrow instead of item 1. Very annoying. Some additional spacing between that arrow and the first power icon would alleviate that.

Not going to happen.

The devs are still standing firm on their stance that allowing us to pull 10 out is being generous, because enhancements are intended to be permanent.

They may change their mind on that someday, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it.

I'm with the clawed one in this case. The inability to strip an entire build of enhancements in a respec is something that's largely undesirable to the development team, now more than it ever was. The health of the Market depends on both supply and demand. Allowing people to hoard and reuse their own enhancements does colossal damage to that equilibrium.

Personally, I wish the respec process didn't allow us to keep ANY enhancements whatsoever, even the 10 we keep now. All allowing us to do this does is make people ask for more.

Keep in mind that just because you've never experienced it, doesn't mean that others have had that problem.

I can't claim to know how simple or time consuming it would be for the devs to add a "lock" option to power tray icons, but if they can do it, I would use it. A lot.

I mean, we already have a right click popup menu for power tray icons where we can either remove it from the tray or get info on it. They could add a "Lock in Place" option right in that menu, and then allow people to unlock it at any time by selecting the same option again.

I agree with you.. Although, within the last year or so, many of these so called "Taboo things the devs will never change" have actually been changed.. So I wouldn't be surprised if they increased it... Not gonna hold my breath though.

No they haven't. Only one thing was added to the game that one dev said would never happen and that was inherent Fitness.

Power Customization was never taboo.
Weapon Customization was never taboo.
Global Email was never taboo.
Side Switching was never taboo.
Merging the market was never taboo.
Joining the EU and NA server lists was never taboo.
Lowering the EAT unlock level was never taboo.

The truth is that everything other than inherent fitness that people try to point at and claim the devs said would never happen are really things the devs said they would like to do in the future but they simply didn't have either the time or resources to commit to them because they weren't a priority at that time. Other things were more important.

As soon as those features became a priority they commited the time and resources to them to get them in the game as soon as possible.
