Out of curiosity: I've seen it mentioned that there might be a "cap" for base prestige. Has there been any hints as to what this might be ? Is it assumed that its probably the same as the inf cap on a character ?
Not sure if it'd be worth taking the sg all the way to that point, but curious to see if its even close, if a cap exists.

I think you can take a character that has hit the inf. cap on the live servers and purchase four million prestige with the inf. and then repeat this 499 more times to test if the prestige cap is two billion. I don't care enough though to test this heh.
That'd be disappointing if it is the cap, considering the top SGs aren't too far from that. Hmm...
We have a base builder! Please welcome Master Tinkerton to the SG. By which I mean "make it rain." It takes 2 billion inf into prestige to be promoted to where you can do base edits. [I promoted them on spec.] I'm still a little short on cash after my last melodrama,but I can sponsor at least a billion. Anyone want to help sponsor?

it happens - the real question is, when it does happen how far away does the other group get?

Man I need to know what niche you are in to make your money back that fast after cashing out all your inf. the other day.
I didn't cash ALL of it - I kept back 2 billion on a bid for a PVP 3% Def. Which filled. And I sold for 2.5 billion off market. So there's half a billion...
aside from that, the usual. Touch of Death [A/D, D/E, D/R], Kin Combat [A/D, D/E, D/R, D/E/R], Gaussian triples, respecs [that time someone bought it down to 3 left, I bought one for 201M , listed for 301M and sold for 500M], a lesser Shield Wall, Aegis [R/R, E/R, R], Luck of the Gambler D/E, I flipped about ten or twenty SHO's that I bought when Statesman was the WST... I'm sure I'm missing a few. I think I even went back to Impervious Skin and Impervium Armor Psi Resist for a few. Oh- Steadfast Res/Defs. Some LOTG level 25 global recharges. Probably one of the Numina's, though I don't think I'm in any of them right now.

Sorry I haven't been donating recently! I cleared myself out of inf and started over from scratch.
Just dropped 1.2 Bn into the pot, and now we're #19. Getting a base any day now!
