Invis vs Stealth+Stealth proc
So I guess my question becomes this: is the -threat enough of a mitigating factor to justify Invis over Stealth + Proc? Or will enemies see me the moment i bump into them? |
But that's up to you if its worthwhile. On my squishy corruptor, I favor invis over steamy mist + proc when trying to keep up with teammates on SF or trials.

Invisibility also prevents auras from working while its up. So on an Ice Fire or Electric troller or anyone else with a large area effecting aura its not bad for running past bad guys without having to detoggle first.
Is Super Speed and Sprint with +Stealth an option for you? That gives you full invis as well I do believe. And without the stealth suppression of stealth.
We don' need no stinkin' signatures!
Mind my DP/Dev Blaster is going to use Cloaking Device + Stealth Proc + Smoke Grenade to nab glowies without being seen.

I also tend to not slot the stealth proc directly in superspeed. I like to be able to toggle stealth on and off independently of superspeed.

Random note, for brutes energy aura(and posibly the dark armor cloak of darkness, but I haven't tested), neither energy cloak nor the SG base stealth buff supress, allowing fully invisible glowie clicking/combat on that particular powerset.
At least it used to be...I haven't tested it out in a few issues, but I don't think they've changed either power.
Cloak of Darkness definitely does suppress when clicking a glowie.

Also should be noted that for god knows what reason fury notifies mobs w/in 5' so if you are a brute, no matter how much stealth you have, mobs will still react to you once you get close.

If i use Stealth, plus the celerity +Stealth proc in Run, would that give me enough stealth to bypass enemies the same way Invisibility does? I picked invis over stealth because i wasn't happy with the movement penalty, but invis has this "only affecting self" thing which makes it a pain. Also, I have a Kin and Ninja Run, so the -speed from Stealth isn't an issue anymore.
I looked in mids, and the Stealth+proc combo seems to give me more stealth range, but does Invis have any other advantage? I see that it has more +Def, but that doesn't help if i'm under attack and i need to fight back. I see also that it has -Threat, whereas Stealth doesn't.
So I guess my question becomes this: is the -threat enough of a mitigating factor to justify Invis over Stealth + Proc? Or will enemies see me the moment i bump into them?
