Issue 20 keeps on growing with more Incarnate content available soon!

Incarnates Ascend is the second wave of content in Issue 20: Incarnates and it will roll out more of the robust features of the Incarnates system. A brand new Incarnate trial will make its appearance and will pit you against one of the most dangerous scientists around Praetoria! You will need all your wits and skills about in order to stop a catastrophe of cataclysmic proportions to happen in the shadows of the Keyes Island Reactor!

But that's not all this upcoming update to Issue 20 has to offer. Expect new Lore pets for your increasingly murderous / powerful army! New rewards and a myriad of quality of life improvements that will make it that much easier for you to enjoy this brand new content!

Check out our Game Updates section now for more details on Issue 20: Incarnates Ascend and a guide to Keyes Island!

...Does this mean the listed buffers can now buff themselves when they do the group buff?

My pet peeve is people who refuse to acknowledge it when I tell them my character has unlimited power. If I rp attack them they are of course disintegrated beyond the ability of any hospital or magic to restore. Yet despite this they refuse to delete their characters and still keep playing them as if nothing happened. ~Mandu, 07-16-2010

I'm curious about the affect of the now wide-area buffs on the stats of the powers, such as endurance cost.

I am interested in the new Lore pets. I'm glad I haven't gone to Very Rare on any Lore pet yet.

The new LFG/Queue features sound nice. The way the queue works currently, though, is going to be a problem for actually joining Open Leagues, so I'm hoping it is also being changed in ways that are not being mentioned yet.

I said it elsewhere, but this is amazing. A new trial, revolutionary buffing system, auras that look like travel powers - you can color me impressed.

Just let me know who I need to send the Cookie Package to in order to get Primal Clockwork on the list of Lore Pets. :P

Good lord, we can only hope.

... really? Unlocking alpha was hard for people who want to solo?

.... really?

And thanks ever so much for screwing up the buffs. I see people ESPECIALLY getting pissed off about getting Speed Boost - and the buffer *not being able to do a damn thing about it.* Do you NOT listen to the legitimate complaints people have, which were currently *easily* avoided by just skipping someone in a list? Now we get EVERYONE IN A LEAGUE that's nearby. Let's hope it doesn't just affect *everyone.*

Oy.

I see myself shelving some kinetics (SB) and Thermal (people having performance issue with the shields) characters now.

The Ascension Costume pieces look awesome and those path auras too!

I think we're going to be seeing a lot of rainbows flying by.

well the wording says that you still have to target someone to cast it so even if it does work on the caster you'll only be able to use it on yourself while teamed (at least for Defenders and Corruptors).

Given how many people were complaining about it on the forums and how many people I've seen asking for help with it in game I'm going to say yes.

Count me as someone not particularly happy about having to grind incarnate content to unlock new costume pieces, auras, costume change emotes and account rewards.

It smacks a bit to much of the elite stuff you get as drops in other games and the primary reason I don't play most other games.

And the nebulous "account rewards" mention worries me. The cosmetic stuff is one thing but this implies something else entirely.

Edit: The reason I'm not a fan of this sort of thing is that it makes me not want to level my lowbies. I don't like constantly having to do stuff on the same characters to unlock it. Vanguard merits at least drop during normal content play in the RWZ and you can get more then enough to get all of those costume items in a single MS raid.

Astral and Empyrean merits don't exactly flow like vanguard merits do.

I see people asking for help against Trapdoor and/or Hero 1 quite often.

Can't wait for the new shinies! I need to start hoarding some more Emp and astral merits.

As for the new buffing, I wonder if it would be possible to make it like the Fortune telling buffs and being able to accept it or not.

Memphis Bill would probably be a lot happier. To be honest I can see his point. I used to play on a rig that would basically lag me out if I had SB..

But theres more good than bad here, so I'm happy for that!

Well, that fits with the theme of the Praetorian war - the Rainbow Bunny Squad have to defend Happy Town from the evil Lord Nasty and his sinister Moustache Men from the planet Twirl.

Why would account rewards worry you? That comment needs explanation.

If you read the fine print and footnotes it looks like all of the new costume/aura/emote unlocks are account-wide.

The Acension Armor is specifically noted as being an account wide unlock for all level 50s and the auras have that implied by the footnote.

Perhaps they will employ a similar system to that of auto-sidekick, and other auto systems, I presume.

In the wider picture, outwith SB and whatever this performance issue with thermal is, I can see this as a great QoL feature. I know the pain of many buffers that can make them feel useless double buffing everyone only for the time you get to member #8, member #1 has run out.

I'm a little confused, they have only presented the ability to obtain these costume effects - such as Vanguard as you put - in a similar fashion, you do not necessarily have to grind the trials.

In addendum, they also explicitly said that the access of said material can be account-bound so I do not see how you would have to go about this every time you have a character.

Sounds a superb sub-issue addition to me, the trial looks wonderfully tactical. I like the less bashy approach, more tactics.

EDIT: I feel that I should say a big thank you to the visual FX people, lately the game has exploded with new gear. Keep up the brilliant work!
