Quick Question: Stone Spears
i think knock up is bugged and doesnt work properly with knockback enhances*
i have levitate on my mind dom 6 slotted with kinetic crash which should boost the knockup to around mag 50 but the real numbers show no enhancing of the knockup
*i say "think" because i dont know if its intended to work like that or is a bug

Yeah, that's what I was noticing too, with the numbers that is.
I remember using Power Boost with my Grav/Ice dom and using Lift for hilarious effect a while back. Granted now, PB doesn't affect knock powers but it *was* enhanceable. Likewise, my Kat/SR has part of a KB set in Soaring Dragon and it does noticably boost the distance it sends targets in (and it's hilariously noticeable on grey targets) and this is sort of what I wanted for my Stone Spears.
So, when did they change it so that Knock up isn't affected by enhancements? Or is it just Stone Spears?
-Sigh- If I can't buff the distance, I might as well not even bother slotting the power...Too bad, I really liked the animation. But it's too slow and does such low damage, it really has no room in my build...And I'm not even a min/maxer! If I'm skipping it, there must be something wrong with it...this and Barb Swipe...

I skipped it on my plant/earth. I like it but it just doesn't do much damage for that 2.10 activation time. Fissure actually does a tiny bit MORE damage for the same activation, so I just use that for filler if somethings down.
It's got good recharge but that activation is really wonky.

It's a counter-weight for the insane DPA of Seismic Smash

You know what I mean, I didn't put any slots in it. I think I jammed a common damage IO in there and called it a day.
Alright, can someone give me a reason to *use* Stone Spears?
I'm about ready to create a build for my /earth dom and I'm read to just take the few slots that I had planned for it out. But I *do* like how powerful it looks...it's just the build already feels stretched for power and with Hurl Boulder (buh >_>) as it's sole ST ranged attack taking up a good deal of slots already.
Is there some good use, tactic-wise or slot-wise, for this power? Just for reference, both Stone Spears and Hurl Boulder are competing with Poison Ray and Disruptor Blast for space/slots.
I want to use Stone Spears (not so much the boulder but gotta use something while lvling) but it's just *that* *bad* >_>

Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.
But all I wanted was to be able to punch the ground, send a guy popping high into the air and as they're falling, chuck a boulder at them to send them FAAAR away.
Is that so much to ask for?

Lift/Levitate -> Stone Spears
To be honest, on my lvl 50 Elec/Earth, I skipped Hurl and almost never use Stone Spear after I have 3 melee attacks.
Stone Spear was ok when you first got it because of the knockup but the activation time is just too terrible.
Hurl should be on 10s recharge. 8s make its damage too low for the activation time you spend.
As for any reason to use Spear Stone? On runners maybe but it's a terrible pull power because as soon as knockdown/up/back happens, the whole mob is alerted.
I would suggest make Stone Spear a 6s attack and Hurl a 10s.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

In-game numbers say it's an 80% chance of mag 0.67 knock up. It also says that it accepts knockback enhancements. When I hover over the power with the mouse on the enhance window, it says the value is boosted but checking the specific numbers says nothing changed about the KU mag.
Just curious if I actually decide to slot this power and enhance the KU, will it have a better chance of affecting bosses?
