I will be seeing it when I return to the states next week. As I really, really want this Avengers movie to kick ***, I definitely have high hopes for Thor.

Tomorrow. IMAX in 3D. Can't wait. My son wants to take his hammer to the theater.

Making it a double feature with Free Comic Day tomorrow. The comic store I go to is real close to a theater.

Anyone that's seen it already in 3D, is it worth the extra cash? I haven't really seen anything in trailers that makes me think the 3D version will be better, but those are just trailers.

Saw it last night at the late-late.

Was going to see it in IMAX 3D. I got there 30 minutes early to an oversold, and already packed theater.

So I had to settle for seeing it in regular 3D, though I got a raincheck out of it.

Funny and epic.

I am pleased to say that I was not disappointed and I was a bit weary of how they would handle Thor but it was fun and funny...they did another great job with super flavored movies!

Saw it. Loved it. 2D is perfectly fine to watch it in, so save the cash.

Bring on Captain America!

IMAX 3D ftw. Great movie. Very fun. The cast is excellent all the way around. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston slam-dunked Thor and Loki. I enjoyed how much Thor just loved being Thor.

My son already wants to know if we can go see it again. He keeps walking around the house, holding his hand out, and going "Hammer! Hammer!" Reminds me of me trying to use the Jedi mind trick when I was his age.

Saw Thor this Friday.

What I liked:
The Shakespearean vibe on the whole thing: the way Hopkins handled himself as Odin had a King Lear thing, the sibling rivalry plot, the base humor of Thor's inflated expectations. The simple effects of Loki coming and going in reflected rooms. The blase attitudes of SHIELD agents - "Is that one of Stark's?" "I don't know, he never tells me anything..." and "Call it in" "This is Team 2, we got Xena, Bruce Lee and Robin Hood heading west..."

What I didn't like:
Not enough with Portman doing more science stuff, we see her talk the game but most of the time she's just standing about looking at CGI clouds.

Yes, He was mention by name as Cage, but I don't know how he would fit with the roster?

I haven't seen it yet, but I expected nothing less from Kenneth Branagh.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.

When I saw the credits, my first thought was "That Kenneth Branagh?"

I have to wonder the circumstances that led him to direct Thor. It's a good movie (go see it), but considering that 90% of his previous directing has been adaptations of Shakespeare, doing a comic-book superhero movie seems a bit of a stretch, Shakespearian power struggles notwithstanding.

When I first learned the director was Kenneth Branagh, I was sure that the movie would be done right.

Luke Cage (a.k.a. Powerman) has already been a member of the Avengers. Interesting cameo there, however, he normally couldn't take a fully powered Thor on his best day. Can't wait to see how they work the fight.
