Loyalty program. You also got a badge, a respec, a free tailor session, and access to all the Vanguard costume pieces/costume change emote without spending Venguard merits.

The same loyalty program that gave you a full Vanguard costume on all your characters, a new badge, and four new emotes.

Edit: damn you, FW!

Hi Guys,

minor threadjack,

anybody else getting this, when I summon both the MVAS and my first Vet Pet (Imp) they both get together to occupy the same space. I summon them in different spots.

The bodies overlap so I get an MVAS with Imp wings sort of.

If I am travelling or just fly/hovering they will stay apart albeit very cosy, but once I land or stop travelling they end up morphed together again.

I wonder if the "Sytem" that tracks player/pet location is getting a bit confused? Also curious what happens to somebody with all 3 pets (MVAS and 2x Vets)

Just checking before I bug it. Thanks

Vanity pets are non-targetable and have no bounding box. That last part means that other things don't bump into them, they pass through instead. When you summon two (which wasn't previously possible), they most likely use the same follow algorythm. However, when you stop and they try to land in the proper location, neither of them gets blocked by the other, so they go to the same location and overlap, as you described.

It's probably not working as intended, so go ahead and /bug it. But I doubt it's going to be any kind of high priority item, so unless it's a super easy fix, don't expect it to change any time soon.

Actually, I think everyone got the free costume change. I didn't qualify for the loyalty (took a couple months off), but got a red message from [Admin] that I had gotten the costume change about the same time everyone was getting their Vanguard pack...

The easiest fix would probably be to make all vanity pets mutually exclusive. IE, if you have one out and try to summon another, the first one disappears. In the other games I've tried that have vanity pets, that's actually how they all work. You can *own* any number of them, but you can only have one out at a time.

It's probably at least partly a performance thing. Even if the model is far simpler than a normal NPC, the pets do still represent a certain amount of performance drag. Especially since you can almost always have them out in addition to any combat pets the character might own.

SILENCE!!

Between the Mini-Mekman, the Mini-MVAS and the Clockwork Oscillator pet, my MM's robot army continues to grow...

Until the Assault bot steps on the Mekman and is caught trying to scrape it off his foot.

Interesting. Maybe it's only certain of the pets? When I got the MVAS on my tech tanker last night, he summoned the MVAS, the Clockwork non-combat pet and the Clockwork buff pet. None of them overlapped. Soon he'll also have two Praetorian Clockwork from the Lore slot and we'll see how that goes.
