Interesting... The servers went down at 2PM my time. It's past 5PM my time and they're still not back up. I'm starting to consider that maybe I should be upset with the prolonged, overly-frequent maintenance periods.
You know what would uplift my mood? How about some patch notes?

Photoshop doesn't make a good artist.
Odd, they posted patch notes then took them down. The most significant new change is that they've added an option for you to start a solitaire game while the BAF cutscene plays.

Well I just ran two trials (Lambda and then BAF); unlocked Destiny finally
The "losing Alpha slot bonuses when/after death" bug is fixed from this newest patch it seems I died a few times on a Lambda/BAF but still was healing for 507 when I got back into the action instead of the 432 before Alpha slot bonuses.
Hooray for fixes!

Just checked the launcher and all three versions are patching for me: Live, Test and Beta.
So happy triple patch day everyone!
Edit: The test center patch is curiously significant at 313.3mb.... >.>
