AV killer NW

So this is my NW build I'm working on for soloing AVs.

Before you say anything, I know that one of my set bonuses excedes 5 but its irrelevant. other than that I have perma Hasten/Mind Link/ double FU. Softcapped even out of MP. My Question is, how many out there have a NW build that dosent include Purple Sets with this kind of survivability and reacharge? I'd like to know who if any are like me and try to avoid using the multi billion inf sets.

I can't view this build ATM, but curious why have perma mind link and then build to be capped without needing it? Also, the 6th set bonus I'm guessing is a 5% recharge?

NW builds can be tricky to manage because there are just so many ways to build one. I have found that to be successful in the very upper game you have to find the right balance between +damage (easy to come by if you take FU, which you did), +hps, +recharge and figure out a way to keep the blue bar going ---> which I see you have taken cardiac so shouldn't be an issue there.

The way you are describing your build, you have placed a focus on building defenses outside of mind link, which means you will probably be sacrificing in some other area to make up for it.

As for soloing AVs, you will prob need either aid self or 25+ regen/sec to be successful, and even then there are a ton of them that will be problems. Anything that resists lethal will take forever to kill, and some like Nosferatu and Ms Liberty will pull off massive self heals on occasion. I wouldn't call soloing AVs a NW's strong point, it can be done but it isn't IMO what they are best suited for.

Of course, I'm no expert on AVs so I might not be the one to be telling you this. The only one I've killed solo has been the clockwork king from Lady Grey (?), he pops near one of the mission entrances and I was there alone and figured "WTHell" and went for it. My advantage with him was I have 45.2% psi defense and 70% psi resistance... which was useful but against most other AVs doens't mean squat.

The build is not capped outside of ML, you're running Melee 36.8%, Ranged 30.9%, AoE 33.1%
You don't actually need the BotZ in Super Speed, a single Run Speed/Endurance IO puts you at the speed cap. So lets move those 2 slots, put one slot in TT: Maneuvers and use 2 LotG and 2 GotA; put the othe slot in Indomitable Will and put in the Steadfast Res/End IO. This increases your recovery by 3.5% (2% from the GotA and 1.5% from the Steadfasts).

and I believe them to be correct in that assessment.

Said they were capped out of Mask Presence, not out of ML. Which would be why they mentioned having ML perma.

I think we got a little off subject but YES this build can solo AVs. Did i say I wouldnt use insp? NO. I know that some dont think its legit it you use insp but I dont care.... lol

In my experience... a lot of AVs will flat-out run away from widows because of the debuffs in their basic attacks. I took Confront on mine to alleviate this. I recommend looking into it (do some tests in AE if you like; you can turn on invincibility there).

Here is my widow, she is a bit higher on almost all levels except recharge you are a bit higher then me, however my defenses, to hit, damage ect.. are higher. I also have perma mind link, but still capped without it. Here is the build for you or whoever would like to look at it. Really it comes down to what works for you there are so many ways to build a widow that you could have 30 different builds that are all pretty solid.

Oh yes. This is very critical in soloing an AV. Without taunt, the AV may run too much and you'll lose tons of dps just trying to chase.

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

Do heroes and AVs both share this mechanic? I just soloed both Ms. Liberty and Mynx in the "Take out the Vindicators" flashback the other day after unlocking my T2 rebirth heal (regen) and T2 reactive interface. Both were level 50 heroes (not EBs) and both went toe-to-toe with me without running once. I wonder if the interface damage dot has a taunt element of some kind.

BTW, both of these heroes were not possible for me before the two listed above incarnate powers became available. Having the regen/heal rebirth on top of 26% s/l resists + sliding resists, softcapped positionals, softcapped psi defense and 70% psi resist has brought my NW to a whole new level of survivability. Will be interesting to see what she's capable of after unlocking the t4 void judgement with the 30 second -50% damage debuff.

I would find it hard to believe that you can solo an AV without having Heal Self. They are going to hit you and they hurt with out low levels of resists.

Also are you just doing more damage than their regen? Or are you relying on envenomed dagger to do the job?

Not all AVs run, it depends on their powers and AI. Try fighting Countess Crey; she runs.

I'm clocking @ 235ish dps before the reactive interface (using the 45% muscular alpha), so dps isn't an issue. I'm also running tough, which helps immensely for survivability. As for heals I was originally just relying on 26/sec regen, which is enough to solo pylons with but just doesn't cut it for heroes like Ms. Liberty an Mynx because they can get in two lucky shots and you're dead. That's why these defeats were only possible for me with the rebirth incarnate regen power.

And no I don't use the daggers as it isn't so much about being able to damage them, it's about surviving the encounter. The big challenge is leveraging my endurance woes in a ten minute battle: even with 0.87 use and 4.15 recovery I can run into problems when spamming shatter armor and eviscerate.
