Caltrops and Procs

I have caltrops slotted with 4 damage procs and a -rech proc. Can someone plz confirm for me if it procs w/ every tick of damage, once every 10 seconds, or just when I throw them down.

Once every 10 seconds I believe, so caltrops procs 5 times. You can do incredible damage with controller sets and such that have lots of long duration pets like caltrops, all proccing like crazy. If they make the new incarnate procs affect pseudopets, it will be crazy.

The toon in question here is an IO'd and Proc'd out Bots/Traps/Mace. Resistance is futile.

if your going to proc out caltrops i would use more dmg procs, the -rech proc is almost worthless

yes stuff like pseudo pets can trigger tons of procs (carrion creepers comes to mind, saw a post somewhere about this which 1 proc placed in carrion creepers can trigger up to 74 times in the duration the power is active)

from what i know about the interface incarnate procs is they proc like crazy for pseudo pets such as rain of fire, ice storm, ect

it's already got the max allowable damage procs in it. I figured -rech couldn't hurt for those longer fights.

If you are hoping to leverage the procs in your caltrops patch, I highly recommend Mu mastery. Elec Fences will keep your bots from knocking the mobs out of your patch. Its also great for keeping the mobs overlapped for the *** bots incindiary missles.

Off topic: You are on guardian right?

This made me lol, as I just started watching Season 4 of Voyager. :P
Also, the -rech proc doesn't yield much in return, if I were to put anything else in there besides the damage procs, the Rag proc chance for KD is always
entertaining while useful.

Don't I know you???

I really like Ragnarok chance for knockdown proc in caltrops. It works great but if you don't need the extra mitigation you could leave it out, except it is fun to watch the mobs on them.

Freedom Server - Main = Lil Bug & way too many alts to list

here is a soft-capped build with mu mastery... i like the res, although it sacrifices regen and a proc or two

That was me (the Carrion Creepers), and it was 78 proc hits (not chances of, actual damage hits from them) via 2 different procs. However I think some of the Posi Blast ones weren't targetting at living targets because of the weird way the corpse bramble things seem to trigger on corpses / defeated enemies. It was also against "best case" enemies, an attackless bunch of +1x8s in the AE. Still good though, but not game-changing really.

As for Caltrops it's ok, a proc chance every 10 seconds which basically boils down to 1.4 DPS per proc. Caltrops does 2.78 damage unslotted every second so each PROC is like adding a 50% damage enhancement to it.

So it's certainly worthwhile. However in the case of the -recharge I'd drop it for another Damage/Recharge IO personally.

Just so you all know it has 3 damage procs, a posi' dam/rech and the -rech proc. I did have the kd proc as well but I figured with the -kb I am spamming from web envelope(over the mu immob) and webnade the kd would be kinda pointless.

web grenade and web envelope do not have -kb, they just have immob and -fly in them

the mu mastery immob has kb protection though

Really? Bc when I immob them it really does keep the kb reduced. Maybe it is just perception but it seems to get the job done.

Web Grenade does have knockback protection, Web Envelope doesn't

Ok then that makes sense bc most of the lowbies hit with envelope get blowed up fast so I noticed the -kd from nade on the tougher foes.

Blaze you suck at posting builds. Just do the datachunk, your link is broken and i'm not manually putting that into mids lol.
