Ladies, Gentlemen, I have a solution. In three words.

Ghost. Widow. Pants.

They removed the hideous blue stripper heels and replaced them the red boot flats and nixed the hyper glossy electric blue pants and replaced them with a patriotic navy.

It looks more like a really well-done photoshoot cosplay than a real movie costume... new pants are much better.

Though I don't see how patriotic plays into it. It's not like she's Captain America...

I've really been wondering why the hell a hero of ostensibly greek origin has so much Star-Spangled Eagle-themed Red, White, and Blue in her costume for... mostly the whole time I've known who Wonder Woman is.

Ice/Ice Blaster. Dedication to concept is an ugly thing.
Claws/WP Brute. Sex without the angst.
Every CoX character lies somewhere on this spectrum.

Well, in Wonder Woman lore - as I remember correctly - her costume is designed after the American flag since she is following that pilot Steve(?) back to the US and it was designed in honor/deference of his home country.

That's how it goes, if I remember correctly.

I agree. I think the material change was more for durability than the aesthetics. That shiny stuff tears very easily. Especially if it's the same material used to make the costumes from the Power Rangers movie from long ago. Also digging the red boots. Still nice, and above all else, PRACTICAL.

However the metal still looks like cheap plastic.

Feminum is not made from cheap plastic!

Except they bunch up like cheap stretched out spandex on that girl's loooong torso. God help me they need to be leather or tighter. Thank god for red boots

Comic books don't do PRACTICAL!

That said, I like the idea of the flatter boots, purely for the "in high heels...now in flats...now back in high heels" we'd get otherwise.

Yes, but comic books don't require actors that have to wear these costumes and perform athletic feats in them for extended periods of time. There has to be some measure of practicality taken into consideration for the safety and comfort of the wearer.

You post sounded more like "Comics book costumes should be more practical"

I understand the practicallity of such changes in RL of course.

Though, you say safety, and I have to think, didn't they switch to the flats when anything like running needed to be done?
