Gaslamp fantasy/Steampunk costume options

Probably going to make the 2nd costume inspired by Dimo.

(oooh, wonder if "Ol' Man Death" is available?)

We need a Jager/Spark SG on Virtue.

(Edit: It was, and I got it.)

Clockworks = clanks. Clockwork King isn't the first person to put his consciousness into a metal body.

Dr Vahzilok is obviously a spark that had no formal training, with his constructs.

Nemesis? Say no more. How sparky can you get?
When I first started playing in 2004, my friends and I kept calling the Clockworks as "clanks".

So, still pondering GG-inspired characters, and wondering if there's any "schmot guyz und clenks" supergroups out there. Anyone know of one, or interested in starting one?

I'm definitely interested if a GG supergrup is started.

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

Let's see who is interested before picking a server. I'm on Virtue, and would like this to be an RP group (but not like there'd be any draconian rules about RP.) I don't think you'd *have* to enforce RP in a group interested in a gaslamp fantasy SG in the first place, really.

I'd be down for this.

So, I've been thinking, and since Mad Science is all about personal aggrandizement and "Fools! I'LL SHOW THEM ALL!!!", I figure this should be a villain SG. Any suggestions for names? "Schmot Guyz"? "Mad Science"?

Just so you all know, I blame my newly aquired addiction to Girl Genius on you all.

No one pays attention to me, cause I listen to the voices in my head.

this looks fantastic. far better than most of the cosplaying weirdos out there who think it's a lifestyle.

I really hope they update the steampunk glove textures to the new hi-res standards some day...

I'm working up a rather Spark-y Zombies/Traps mastermind that would fit in rather well. I usually play on Virtue.

I'll post later tonight, just moved my Praetorian Steampunk adventurer/gentleman Fergus Ripley esq over to blue side and will post pics tonight. Really hoping to get the Nem rifle ASAP. the one he currently sues doesnt fit the aesthetic as well. But thank god for resistanse items, Tech wings, and piston boots.

I wonder if one could put a tiny head on a Crab Spider model and make it look like a midget controlling a clank powersuit/robot?

I am going to try a huge/heavy build in armore and scale the ehad way down to look like someone inside a steam powered mech suit.

we need back pieces like backpaks and Steampipes.

Very neat!

We don't have an option for those awesome Victorian sideburns, do we?

Posted

I not sure about the sideburns, as most of my characters are clean shaven.

But looking at Sillof site and seeing what he did in creating West Wars. Has got me wanting to head back into the AE building and make some great NPCs.

Ok, changing the look and backstory for an established character blueside tonight to get the ball rolling on this. Will be starting a thread on the Virtue server forum here at the coh forums. First question: redside, blueside, or both? Will "both" dilute membership?

Moving the discussion here, on the Virtue forum. Let's make some Mad Science together!

well thats disappointing that the whole conversation would get moved to a specific server's board. I never check specific servers for much of anything forumwise. good luck to you though
