Invitation to Speed Club..
I decline the invitation. Speed runs are no fun for debuffers.
I'd join if you have a channel for Freedom.
If you do try a few toons on Virtue, feel free to look us up!

You know, just by posting this, you've violated the first AND second rules of Speed Club.

Now, more than ever, Paragon City needs heroes. Do your part to save it.
Hey, those rules - are more like 'loose guidelines'
Pirates of the Caribbean FTW! :P
Guys, thanks for all your support - we've got several new members interested, keep 'em coming! Remember, all we want are people with good toons who know how to play the game and are tired of PuG's!

Now is this just to run the tf as fast as possible or is it kill everything as fast as possible?
I don't really see just running it as fast as possible, a speed kill all I can understand.
If you try to compare times on a SF it really needs to be straight time to complete the SF because it's too easy to accidentally miss some spawns that aren't required for a mission's completion anyway. Missing a spawn or two would alter your time artificially for the better. That sort of error is not detectable from a screenshot.
For the lower level SFs, a kill all isn't as rewarding as it is for the lvl 50 SFs.

I've sent a PM to join, because I don't like TFs that drag on :<.
And because I am very useful to speeds >.>
I have an old channel that used to be very busy back before Reward Merits came out. It was active back when we could create an 8 man SF, log out 7 of the toons, and then have the last toon solo the SF until the end. We used to set up a rotating set of SFs so that we could each be soloing a SF on one of our toons and have multiple other toons in SFs but logged off waiting for the soloer to reach the end mish.
There are still more than 100 members, but there's not a lot of activity at the moment.
I have made that channel public and it's open to anyone who is interested in recruiting for, running, learning about or teaching about speed SFs/TFs, trials etc.
You don't have to have an uber toon or be all IO'd out to join. You don't have to be a speed SF pro. You just have to want to run speed SFs/TFs. Though it does help if your toons have some sort of stealthiness--super speed and a stealth IO will work just great almost all of the time.
Its' called Good Times and the current members were recruited from Freedom.

Psht! REAL heroes stick around and have a long, dramatic monologue for 26 minutes after killing every minion in the TF!
...and they kill...every...minion!!!!
This is an insult to the brave!

I'd appreciate it if you could ask members of the channels with IO'ed out toons on Virtue if they'd be interested in Speed Club in Virtue?
We're a private channel but I believe we're at approximately 50'ish members - of course, every single member we get more counts. In light of the upcoming incarnate trials, I'd be more comfortable if our number was over 200.
I am against going public simply because I'd like to guarantee everyone in the channel that they'll be teaming with great players to pro's - we can make sure that is the case in a private channel; public channel, not so much

Take out the monologues and we could do an STF in 15 minutes instead of the 30 we usually take.

So... How fast DO you run SFs?
I think the reason people got so frowny over this thread is because slainsteel insists that him and his 'clan' are "pros" and "1337". And honestly, speeding TFs, depending on HOW fast you really speed it doesn't make anyone a "pro" in my opinion! But to each their own! I do understand the reason behind the pitchforks though...
So for some time now, on Virtue, we have had a private channel called Speed Club. We are a group of players who are 'obsessed' with speed tf's. We go in with finely tuned teams, try to beat the best times on the hardest tf's.
Till now membership has only been via private recommendations but with the upcoming incarnate trials and future content, it makes sense to grow. I've decided to throw open the membership to anyone who fits in with the team.
We're elitist, we're probably quite egoistic and definitely very competitive.
If you're interested in joining, please send me a private message - we would require that you run at least one TF with us so we can get to know each other; it may turn out you may not enjoy the way we run our TF's or vice versa, but usually for people who are really into speeding TF's, that's rare; usually speeders tend to like other speeders
Only requirement that we really have is that you have a variety of toons that are 'decently' IO'ed out at least and know what you are doing on most 50 TF's - this isn't a channel for 'casual' players - everyone who will team with you from Speed Club will be a pro with a decked out toon. We ask you return the favor.
So if you're interested in joining a channel where you can find players who really like to push the game to the limit, please do contact me.
Oh yeah, humility isn't our strong suit, we're good, we know it and frequently like to express it
