The Crossing ((open RP))
"Y'ello? This thing working? Gonna have to shoot the info back this way, because laser-pointer doesn't quite hack it these days," his response came through an occasional blip of static and white noise as the line stabilised.

First it delivered a radio frequency randomizer sequence. Then came a pulse compressor and the correspondent decompression. Finally, a multi-layered cipher topped off the communication obfuscation. if Quicksilver was the suspicious sort, said nature might've been raised at this. These people treated this place as confirmed hostile territory. They were being beyond careful to ensure no one tapped their communications.
"Comm. check." the silver-clawed passenger then sent via radio to the Cybertronian. Once they had confirmation, he went on to query, "We've convinced the local authorities that we're on their side - for the moment. How can we help...?"

Kings Row, Highway
Still holding her balance atop the speeding Autobot, Mirel narrowed her eyes at the seemingly ever growing crowd tailing them. Am I to assume the new viechal is hostile or not? And do tell me were reaching the port soon, as I left my bow at home so cant take down more then one or two of the fliers at once here |
"ETA, pretty damn quick," he added, pulling a skid-turn onto the Independence Port junction, the large gate through the war wall looming ahead.
The occupants of the light buggy looked to one another for a moment, the somewhat unexpected style of the response briefly throwing off their focus. It returned posthaste however, and the two fired off their own reply stante pede. Once more the laser spoke.

"For now, try and keep 'em from catching up is all. I think the lady on the roof's got something planned in the Port," he answered more fully, just before passing into the tunnel.
The SWAT vans stayed with him, as did the squad of Protectors, the silent and faceless caped fighters keeping pace with relative ease.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Kings Row/Indepedance Port connection tunnel
As the Autobot sped through the tunnel linking the two portions of the city together, Mirel shifted her position on the roof into a much flatter stance to make her a much harder target, placing a hand down firmly on the roof.
For a few seconds, assuming Quicksilver could feel things like that, the Autobot felt a little tingly, as the air around him became hazy and mist filled for a second before it snapped back to normal.
Very well, now listen closely, when we arrive in the port I need you to jump into the water as quickly as possible, are we clear?
Several dials flashed amber and red on the Autobot's dashboard.
"Into the water? Look, lady, I can swim. That doesn't mean it doesn't play havoc with my tracking, targetting and movement speed. Same goes for the vast majority of Cybertronians. Except Bumblebee. Still dunno how the dude does it...."
Silver roared out of the tunnel, and at least headed for the quey. Their pursuers followed, the nearest of the Paragon Protectors chancing a thrown fireball, which ended up cruising off target and scorching a bit of pavement.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Indepenance Port, Quey
As the Protectors fireball went wide Mirel retaliated with short blast of high pressure mystically sharpened and lung seeking water at them in retaliation before speaking to her Autobot mount.
Which means it will do likewise to the people following us, just trust me on this one, just jump into the water and keep driving, my own life is on the line here, if you dont trust me to look after yours, keep in mind that Im not going to get myself killed here
In the sky of Independence Port was another shimmer, nowhere near as big as the last one but the sound of a jet could be heard screeching overhead.
"Oh frak...where in all of Megatron's wrath am I now?"
The voice a female one, decidely less perky than that of Elise, more mature and with a hint of malice. The owner of said voice was currently in her vehicle mode of a Lockheed SR-17 Blackbird.
"This is Skycracker to Decepticon command, anyone reading me...anyone?"
The static of silence greeted her.
"grrrr alright there I am, flying along and some swirly thing opens up before I can get out the way now I'm stuck in some weird city with no backup...not my idea of fun."
Doing where her vehicle mode was best at, recon, she made a swoop over the area in quick time, flying low to get her bearings and narrowly missing a giant Octopus.
"Ok now THAT is not normal...seriously when did Earth get cephalopods that frakking huge?!"
She screamed past a car with..someone riding the roof, now humans were stupid so such things were to be expected but one thing caught the scanners.
The Autobot symbol.
If Quicksilver had been quick enough, he probably would have noticed the Decepticon logo on hers as she flew past.
"Well, looks like this place isn't a total loss after all, got me some ground hogging Autobot to reduce into slag..."
Wheeling round at the other side of Independence Port, giving Quicksilver about 20 seconds to realise what was about to occur..
Silver hadn't lived as long as he had on Cybertron without being sharp. Hells, that was mostly how he got his name.
"Frag, frag, frag! I knew it was too good to be true!" he yelled, skidding round to face the edge of the quey and accelerating. "This better work, lady!"
Wheels left tarmac, and free-wheeled in midair...
-and hit water. The silver Autobot drove across the water of the port, as if he were cruising on perfect tarmac.
"...Oh, hell yes!" came his triumphant whoop a second later, handbrake-turning in a perfect 360 and slamming into reverse, now driving backwards. "Time to even the score!"
Silver's form shifted and changed. Bodywork and plates slid back and shifted, his form becoming far more alien within moments. Panelling on his bonnet shot back, twin missile-launcher pods jerking into life, as the boot converted to allow room for his rail-rifle to extend.
"Bring it, Decepticreep!"
Meanwhile, beneath Steel Canyon...
Something stirred. Mechanised spider-bots, small scurrying automata powered by a faint purple glow, with gun-metal and amethyst tinted bodywork scuttled too and fro. Already the base was becoming operational.
Of course, that had come second to the situation regarding communications...
Atlas. Skyway. Faultline. And now Steel Canyon.]
So, why was there a signal that had just dropped onto the grid in the docks, this Independence Port?
"Extending Data-nodes 3, 5, 7, 9. Commencing transmission frequency operation. Standard authorisation, active. Weblink, online. Data analysis and aquisition, online. Broadcasting to all Decepticon Agents upon Alternate Earth. All Hail Megatron."
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Skycracker picked up the signal.
"All hail Megatron, this is Skycracker, recon division, I've got Autobot sighted and will be engaging."
The roar of the jet engines grew louder as she closed in on the Autobot she had picked up earlier who was now...driving on water?!
"Oh what the...now that's a new trick, shame it won't save you.."
The bleep of a target lock and she unleashed her full barrage of missiles, being recon she was lightly equipped, not designed for prolonged combat but fast strikes, still if the missiles failed she could always use her speed advantage in hand to hand combat.
Beneath Steel Canyon, something stirred again. The cybertronian spiderbots paused for a moment, before scurrying quickly back to work.
At the heart of a mass of wiring and cables, looking for all the world like some kind of alien boombox, was sat the apparent base commander.
"Skycracker, acknowledged. Soldier status, identified. Orders, secure the Autobot. Decieve human forces; Pretence, hunting known fugitive. Human Police and Protector units, allies. Authorisation code; Sierra Whisky Alpha. Out."
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Indepedance Port
Mirel didnt seem to have a problem staying firm in her place atop the Autobot, even as it transformed slightly to move to attack the fighter that had rather annoyingly interrupted what would have otherwise been a flawless escape. The missiles heading towards them right now were also a bit of a problem.
I just feel its best to point out at this stage that we can submerge and function just as well with a nice shield of water, while the enemy cannot, just so you know, diving would probably be a good idea about now
Mirel was considering perhaps jumping off the Autobot if he didnt get out of the way of these missiles, though that would have the unfortunate side effect of breaking the charm keeping him riding around on the water if she did so. Hopefully she wouldnt have to.
At the wharf, the light buggy came to a stop at water's edge. Within, the armored crewmen awaited orders.
In the sky, Sarkh looked on with a curious eye, for once being patient and expecting the same. Atop his shoulders, Oxana considered what those orders should be.
The broadband pickup left no doubt about it. There was a new force on the field. The correlation of the latest arrival's appearance with the increase of activity on one of the outlier bands spoke volumes, even despite the signals themselves being either encrypted, in a foreign language, or with greater likelihood, both. It didn't really matter that they had no idea what the chatter was saying. The observable reactions to it - Quicksilver's arming up, the new arrival doing the same - told the tale plain as day.
The new force was hostile.
Still, standard SSR contact protocol advised patience, insight, and understanding...well, at least so long as it was reasonable. Technically, she and her crew were neither being threatened directly, nor were they in any danger from the potential repercussions of the situation. As such, if protocol was to be followed, they were to stay out of this, observe, and most importantly, not initiate a combat engagement.
"Captain?" the Synchronaut's rumble from beneath her feet pulled the Esertosian from her thoughts, "What do we do?"
"My friend, I'm sorry, but I can see only one option." she stated solemnly, the electronic modulation of her armor pushing a crackle into Oxana's sigh. With firm, decisive tone she stated loudly, "Screw protocol."
Down by water's edge, the gull-wing doors of the light buggy snapped open. Four armored soles made contact with the pavement. A pair of meter-long, square-sectioned weapon barrels raised their sights into the night sky.
Man-portable missile launchers.
Twelve dozen micro missiles screamed their way up into the air not seconds later, each of the launchers speaking in a staggered barrage in much the same manner as the Heavy Troopers of Cole's Imperial Defense Force. Indeed, the similarities didn't end there, for just as Praetoria's one-man artillery units liked to bombard their targets with munitions befitting the nature thereof, so did these two choose a type of missile they suspected would be more effective in dealing with Skycracker.
EMP rockets...

((when did it become night time? XD
Also, just as a heads up, that wasn't a broadcast. Secure comms channel tuned to frequencies Skycracker would know. Given who is sending them, 'secure' is pretty damn secure ))

"Ildela... hope I pronounced that correctly? Please lead your extradimensional friends inside and have the three of you properly registered. I trust you will not try to remove your cuffs? I'll be right behind you, just going to make some calls." |
----------
“sos lead on, Ildela, you’re a local I’m guessing, as you seem to know what who and where abouts here..is there a place a feller can clean up I am a bit dusty from all the travels and explosions and likes, they have clean water here?“ |
"But I'm getting sidetracked", she added after a moment's hesitation. "Should be able to clean yourself up in the bathrooms upstairs, there's clean water and everything. Hell, we could swing past Trina in the VIP lounge and get something a little less beaten up for you to wear, too." Just then, the elevator hit bottom and the doors slid smoothly open. Clearly it was in far better condition that the jury-rigged equivalents Ethan might be used to from his home dimension. Ildela on the other hand stepped into it with no care.
[Admin] Emperor Marcus Cole: STOP!
[Admin] Emperor Marcus Cole: WAIT ONE SECOND!
[Admin] Emperor Marcus Cole: WHAT IS A SEAGULL DOING ON MY THRONE!?!?
Ethan gave Ildela a somewhat concrened look "yous been to the place I'is from ? you know abouts the Aliens ? "
Ethan was distracted by the elevator doors opening into Pocket D and the sight of Ravers and Patrons,
"oh wow its just like the Strip, well a bit cleaner and more tidy, yous said they donta trade in Caps, .."
his hand dug deep into a pocket and pulled forth a wad of Pre War Money," ..is this stuff any good here ? "
Ethan was clearly much happier in the realm of drink and enjoyment, his right hand seemed to stop straying to the 10mm Pistol in his belt.
"..and yous says there is one of them fancy clothes shops here, i always did want one of those smart suits witht the tie and all..."
Ethan swept his right hand's fingers across his matted hair disturbing a fair amount of dust and grime, ..
" sos where does we start ? . . "

The slight pause in momentum also served to dip his front bumper for a moment...sending him, Mirel and passenger Awesometastic Girl beneath the mostly still waters of the port.
"Woh..."

"Wh...wh.... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" Awesometastic Girl screamed, she had once seen some one take a 'car journey to visit Davey Jones', it hadn't gone well and now the talking car bot seemed intent on suicide... and taking AG along for the trip!
Brawling Cactus from a distant planet.
Independance Port, Underwater
For the first time since she arrived in this strange realm Mirel was able to relax, water was where she and those like her had no equals and under it she felt perfectly safe even here and with the situation being what it was.
She began to shuffle around under her armour, attempting to retrieve something as she lay back on the roof of what was still partially a car letting her hair start to drift freely in the water as she finally retrieved what she was looking for.
One of the items she retrieved looked to be about a fist sized amulet, made of some gleaming red material, looking like a trio of snakelike dragons coiling around each other, in the centre was set what looked almost like a ruby, only one that had a flickering light coming from it, as though it was a solidified flame. The second item she retrieved looked almost exactly like some form of cigar, which she proceeded to press one end to the gem causing it to ignite, bringing it back to have a nice relaxing smoke.
All of this while underwater, which if anyone could see her would probably result in brains being tied into knots as to how this was possible.
Oh relax in there already will you? Were all safe and fine here, we just need to find a nice spot to hide out for a few hours, during which we can plan and then slip out without being noticed, you should be just fine as long as you dont piss me off
There was no sudden rush of water, or any change on the interior of the Autobot's vehicle mode for that matter. In fact, aside from the rippling water outside, it was as if they were still driving perfectly normally.
"Hide? T'hell with that, lady. Jump me once, you get lucky. But the second jump will be mine, especially on a Decepticon," Silver shot back, weapons systems retracting temporarily while he got used to the handling underwater. Oddly enough, it wasn't too bad. He was pretty sure the odd readings were coming from Mirel on the roof but, for now, he was more than grateful for them.
Of course, what that might mean about the looming mass coming towards them at speed was a whole different issue.
"Uhm....lady?" Silver asked warily, as his lights flicked on to illuminate the massive, orange bulk of the giant Octopus, Lusca, bearing down upon them...

Ineloo hadn't been paying attention to much of anything since Sarkh had flown into the air. Instead, she had stuck her head out of her hiding place and was staring around at the city as it passed below them. If anyone had been in the position to look, they would have seen a massive grin plastered over her face as she watched the buildings pass underneath them.
"Don't go away mad, just go away..." The best line Clint never said.

Independance Port, Underwater, Near Lusca
Mirels expression drooped, the cigar still in her mouth, this realm was really starting to test her patience.
Well this will get interesting, issue number one being that if I hop off your back the Charm keeping you just fine in the water is going to vanish, so well have to be creative here
Once again she sat upright, moving to stand on her feet as she eyed up the looming monster in front of them.
Okay, heres the plan, drive directly above it, get it to surface so youre on the things head, then Ill leap off and try to tame it, then make it fling you and the girl right back to dry land, sound good?
Skycracker's missiles detonated in the water like depth charges, sending concussive blasts through the water but thanks to both Quicksilver diving AND the fact they weren't heat seeking failed to do any damage.
The warning coming up on her HUD that there were multiple missiles incoming from all different angles, firing off Chaff to distract the missiles and the rail cannon just missing...just.
"Oh Frak this noise..."
She cut her engines and begun to drop out of the sky, transforming midfall, the two large jet engines turning into a jetpack, arms and legs folding out of the side of the Blackbird and her head flipping up from within the back area of the aircraft, the curves of the Blackbird allowed her a more femine form.
She waited for just the right moment and refired the engines, catching herself from hitting the water, she may not be as aerodynamic in this form but she was still fast, skimming across the water and now aiming towards the small creatures that had tried to bombard her with mini-missiles.
"Command, I request backup, I have multiple hostiles, the Autobot has a lot of help!"
"You did, and that sounds like a plan to me... if only so I can get these off", Ildela answered, looking around. If this dimension was similar to the one she came from, then they'd need to go to City Hall which would be... "That way", she told the others with her, gesturing with both cuffed hands to the building in the distance. After making sure they understood, she headed in that direction around the base of the statue.

"Yeah," Derek grumbled. "The Empire would have a full regiment of gear knights marching us at gunpoint all the way to the nearest cell, even if it was a week-long trip to the nearest town they controlled. Still, I wouldn't want to risk breaking the man's... trust. Those weapons they had back there looked a lot more sophisticated than your average clockwork rifle."
Sam: "My mind is a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas."
Max: "Me too."

"Come with me please." the Captain reached out to Ineloo, intending to grasp a hand and thus steady her while she pulled the halfling from the harness pocket, "Synchronaut Sarkh has underwater operations to conduct. We'll be getting off here."
The Cerosian in question meanwhile reached into a pocket on his other side, gingerly pulling out a thin rod roughly the size of a police baton with a pair of claws. Once in hand, he reached over his shoulder and held the object out to Oxana.
"Don't worry." he told the halfling with a smirk as the Captain took possession of the short staff, "The Captain is an excellent pilot. She'll take good care of you."
He didn't elaborate on just what he meant by that, instead giving the word back to Oxana, who instructed Ineloo to stand behind her and place both arms about her waist, finishing with, "Then lock your hands together and told on tight..."
She waited for just the right moment and refired the engines, catching herself from hitting the water, she may not be as aerodynamic in this form but she was still fast, skimming across the water and now aiming towards the small creatures that had tried to bombard her with mini-missiles.

So they did.
And as Skycracker aimed at the wharf, the wharf protested. Another missile barrage screeched through the night at the Decepticon, and this time they packed enough high-explosive yield to blow a set and cured cement truck halfway across Canada - before it had to worry about the sticky, toxic, and quite caustic elements of those missiles' detonations...
