Customize Epic & Patron Pools
You're not the only one. According to the devs there are some complications with implementing pool customization so it's unclear if or when it will happen. They do know that it is desired though.
I'd like to be able to customize epic and patron pools. For example, I've got a blue flame customization for a fire/fire blaster, but when I got fire armor from the epic pool it was the original orange and unchangeable. So customizing these would be cool. Note, if my Icon-Fu is weak and I just missed where to select epic power at the tailor, ignore my ignorant ramblings.

Okay. Short, Short, Short, Short Version.
The developers already told us that additional power customization options would be looked at AFTER GOING ROGUE LAUNCHED
The Earliest Point in Time that any additional Development on Power Customization could have started was August 18th, 2010, after Going Rogue Launched.
Exposing Power Pool, Epic / Patron Pool, and Costume Overlays to the editing system Is not an easy task, nor is it low-hanging fruit.
Exposing these options to players requires additional Database work, additional engine modifications, as well as additional UI work. This is going to take Time to get through. The developers KNOW that we want this stuff. They already done told us more modifications were on the way.
Now, are these customization options ultimately going to be exposed to Patron Powers Explicitly? Nobody knows yet. Some of the developers have mooted the idea that Patron Powers will retain their native colors as those powers are not "natural player powers" as the Epic Powers are. Such murmurings are often accompanied by the possibility of additional story arcs unlocking Hero Specific Patron powers, probably the same power lists that are unlocked as would be gained by completing the Villain Patron Arcs.
Wow, Je_Saist, the first three links have NOTHING to do with this. I didn't even check the fourth, since I'm sure it was the same. Not everyone reads every post on these forums, do you need to be so arrogant with your responses all of the time? A simple "The Devs know that we want this, but it requires more tech and effort than the base powers. They did say that they might work on it at some point, though." would be enough.

We don't know if they've done work on the individual powers themselves or not, but what they have said is that there needs to be UI to access and customize it (right now, we only have that for our Primary and Secondary) and they said that it'd have to wait until after Going Rogue.
I started a thread a while ago asking for people's feedback and... yeah, we're certainly not alone.
I wish they could have gotten Power Pools and Epic Pools done before Going Rogue.
It seemed to have fallen lower on their big list, based on some responses at some conventions (maybe it was the Seattle Q&A... not positive).
For me, it's in such an unfinished state (not that such things are ever "finished", as there's always more that can be done) with Epic Pools not being able to match primary and secondaries and without being able to customize common Power Pool options.
They need to decide how a character should be able to access the screens for it, design those screens/tabs/UI, code it, test it and implement it.
Putting it off for Going Rogue and now Incarnate stuff makes some of us
It's the only thing I really want to see happen right now, hehe. That's just my opinion and preference though.

Come on, man. Take it easy on the new guys.

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.
You guys haven't spotted the Saistian Trend?
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Just to add...
With the new Incarnate Judgement AoE Cone powers being customizable, they may just have gotten the background tech in to actually port over the epic and pool powers to this new system, as the Incarnate customization already has a new UI option.
Also with the AE customization of 'standard' mobs and the previous work done in there with MM pets (since removed) if it turns out the Incarnate Lore pets are color customizable, then the tech is there for MM's and other so called pets to get custom colors. And yes that would include all four of the Kheldian forms too.
Which means if this is correct, then the Devs used the GR/Incarnate endgame to not only deliver that, but to fix some underlying issues that meant they couldn't do the above.
And if they made the pools customizable they would need color options for all pools even those that have all four as 'Auto' powers, without any animation or colors...
I can think of only one that was like that and Khelds could only use it in human form.
The 'Fitness Pool'
Oh look it's gone innate at level 2 and Khelds now get the full boosts of slotting 'Innate Fitness' in their forms too.
Anyone else notice these and care to agree/disagree?
I love the fact that new Incarnate powers and FX are tintable.
But...
If I have a thematic electric character, lets say Electric melee/Electric armor scrapper.
I want the Mu mastery and the Ion judgement power.
To match the colours of the powers, they must be red like the Mu mastery. And I hate red electricity. That sucks!
Needed to be done already in the I16.
Good things take time. Be patient, last we heard they were planning on doing it at some point. Of course, if they could move that point forward a bit then they'd have my full support in doing so.

I16 was 1 and half year ago... And we still waiting for I20 with no signs of power customization to be complete with APP/PPP/Pools.
Damn, I cant believe we only had 3 issues in 1 and half year!
