I can't target Freaks during their rez animations...
Honestly, I'm more annoyed by the inability to target Freaks while rezzing that they added in than I am by everything else's ability to target me while I'm rezzing.
Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end
But in my heart's the memory
And there you'll always be
-- The Fox and the Hound
And apparently, pets can target them before you can.
Arc #40529 : The Furies of the Earth
Probably related to the way they can target and kill enemies that phase out, like Tsoo Ancestor Spirits.

Your pets won't defeat enemies like Illusionists and Master Illusionists that actually phase out.
Of course during an invasion event any self respecting MM should by too busy doing /e dance to bother targetting anything. Why keep a dog and bark yourself?
I don't recall anyone targeting me during Rise of the Phoenix. They're too busy being knocked back.
The worse part is you now can't target ALLIES during the rez animation either. So popping shields, mez-resist or healing on them is like dancing on a knife edge.

...except that lately, they are mowed down in a hail of gunfire before I can even target them. Well, it's the thought that counts, right?
And when I pop my OWN rez inspiration, I CANNOT POP A BREAKFREE UNTIL ENOUGH TIME HAS PASSED. No Breakfree, no Green, no Blue AND as a bonus, stagger around and get the Instant Swiss Cheese Treatment. So Goodbye to Emergency Combat Rez when there are baddies around.
This whole business is like the Maze in Perez Park. Perhaps the dev that came up with it thought it added an exciting dimension to gameplay, but it is just an annoying pain in the posterior.
"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."
The first is to target a pet that's attacking them. You can attack through the pet (at least with ranged attacks; I haven't tried it with melee attacks).
The second is to use AoE attacks. If you've got a PBAoE it's easy -- just use it. If you've got a targeted AoE it's a little harder: you have to target something near the rezzing freak and hope to hit the rezzer with the splash. If you're using something like Shockwave that'll require you to move around to hit both targets.
These are probably exploits, which the devs should fix in the future.

Inspirations I never bother to even carry (solo).

Super Packs Done Right
Influence Sink: IO Level Mod/Recrafting
Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level
You can also affect them with AoEs, so if you can either fire something that doesn't need a target or targets a foe near them, you can still damage them.
This has been this way for a bit now. I want to say they added it around I17, but I'm too lazy to confirm in the patch notes.
Oh, as an aside, the new vet reward rez works excellently in comparison to something like Revive. It gives you moment of untouchable status, plus the "ding"-style inspiration combo, which makes sure you don't get mezzed and are fairly hard to hit. I've used it to rez a melee character in a partial pile of +3 Malta with it and defeated the rest of them without popping my toggles.

Wait. Weren't we supposed to be invulnerable for # of secs after using a rez? Was this feature removed?
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
It depends very much on what source you got the rez from. Not all of them do that.

I didn't take Revive on my regen stalker. But now with inherent Fitness, I might. OTOH I took RotP before Char. At first I was all, "A power that you take in case you face-plant? Doesn't sound very positive to me." Now I'm all, "You think you won, evil doers! Take THAT!" And the flaming birdie is awesome.

So why can anyone and their brother put bullets into me during my rez animation?
This is especially obnoxious when you have the inspirations to pull off a full recovery-- rez, breakfree, purples, blues... but the enemies around you have defeated you again before your UI is responsive again, because it DOES wait for your rez animations to finish before allowing you to use it.
