E-mail rollback?
Yep. Just had a friend ask about this, as she'd been moving some stuff around via email.
I went in and looked - same thing. Little bonus for me (another character that could use it now has the Performance Shifter +END IO, and a stupefy they didn't need.) Don't recall if I had anything sitting there to *lose,* really - probably not, I don't shuffle things often.

Wow, this happens every ******* Thursday. I'm going to start exploiting this.

Hopefully this time they can get BOTH sets of stuff I lost last time they ignored my petition - oh they opened a ticket sent me the place to place my answer and I did so REPEATEDLY and they did not return my goods and just closed it. Filed a second one as once again they screwed up the email deleting recipes, influence and IO's crafted for a new alt. It becomes a joke and the nuthuggers will soon come and tell you somehow its YOUR fault. |

I lost 10 billion to this...
This is so stupid. They know this is a problem why would they do a rollback? I know I lost several emails from cleaning up my account and emailing inf off of dead toons. A few recipes too. But for the life of me I don't know the amounts.
Ummm the rollback is the problem. I don't think they're doing it on purpose.
It just makes more work for them. You don't need to konw what you lost, just tell them "account A sent **** to account B, you figure it out and restore my stuff".
They ask for specifics because it makes it easier for them. **** that, it's not our fault this keeps happening.
Regarding exploiting this, it's pretty easy to do. If enough people do exploit it, maybe it'll get fixed.
Update on my ticket, if anyone else is wondering about their own.
Received an email from a Senior GM this morning around 11:30 Eastern and replied right away with the information he requested. Still waiting for my emails to be recovered, or another email form the GM, though I'm sure the ticket volume is rather high due to this incident.
With as much as this happens, you'd think I would learn to clear my emails every wednesday

Even if this is so, this is still a horrible bug. If using the in-game email system even solely for communication, I'd be upset all of my messages were deleted.
I've always followed my own policy of not leaving anything in emails overnight. It's not meant to be a storage system.

E-mail is meant to be a storage system and specifically this e-mail system is used to store stuff for 60 days.
A friend emailed me a targetcustomnext bind. There is no way to claim that, I want it in my email for reference. It's gone now.
Lost a few level 25 LotG: +Rech recipes over this.. rollback or whatever it was, so as before, made a petition hoping that the issue will be fixed.
Still though, being unable to log on for couple of days and then coming back to find emails missing is NOT a nice surprise. -.-

Most recent reply was around 6:00 Eastern yesterday evening; they found 6 billion inf in lost emails for me. Still awaiting the return; had to clear the inf from some alts so they can return it.
Roughly 30 hours after receiving, and replying to, the most recent email from support and still waiting on my influence. I'm guessing the delay is due to this being the weekend, but I really wanna start IO'ing my Crab.

Just got an email asking for me to fill out a survey about how well the issue was resolved. I guess someone closed the ticket without doing anything.
Check your spam folder to make sure the reply from support didn't get tossed in there by accident. If your ticket really got closed without being resolved, PM Avatea or Zwillinger and explain the situation and they should be able to sic someone on the problem.

Oh dear, a downtime! I wonder how many emails I'll lose today!
Well the rollback worked for me! i got my LOTG 7.5 + 500mil that i used a few days prior back!
Got the same email I did last time - I have referred this to the next level.......last time I got zero and explained that to them as well including the exact form they requested both times.
I did get the survay and noted it is great service except for the fact that you never get the problem fixed.
I've been trying that and nothing gets dupe'd!
Sounds like they aren't getting your reply, i've had that happen. It has to be in between the green lines. I would suggest to you that you reply via the support site instead. I believe you can still do that for your old items. |
I did read the emails - I did reply between the green lines just exactly like last time and got the same message - this is being referred to the next level and nothing............
I do understand that you believe I don't know how to do it and assume I am too stupid to read the emails - I am not. If they fix it great - if not I don't care - the fact is this is no longer a feature that works. You have people intentionally exploiting now and I used to like storing drops in email so I could add them to the alt that needed them as they leveled - now I assume it will be lost and never leave anything in there longer than it takes to log on the other character.
I filed BOTH tickets via the Support site.
I know it is always assumed its the players fault - nope jumped thru every hoop they asked for and got nothing - so far twice.
I guess I'll take the HO's out of email and wait for them to duplicate. I wonder how many little things I have lost and never noticed.
