I slapped it in my ar/dev's caltrops and it's fun and, I guess, useful since if they're on their backs they're not shooting at me.

I'm not rock solid on the mechanics, but I believe it checks to fire every 10 seconds?

So far it's given me some laughs and some mitigation, I give it the thumbs up.

I use it in all my trops characters. Actually now that I think about it that's the only place I use it. It works quite well and like Nethergoat says, the ones on their backs ain't shooting you up.

Its a mere shell of what it use to be, back when you could slot 6 damage procks in it.

I also beleave that it checks every 10 seconds as well as when you activate it.

And its STILL a great power...

Not that it was ever overpowered or any thing.

Procs are fairly useless in Caltrops. However, slotting anything else except recharge and maybe a little slow is almost completely useless, so if you want to enhance them procs are the way to go. The KD proc is probably the best one to use since it has a higher chance to fire and stopping an enemy from shooting for a few seconds is generally better than hitting it for minor damage. Just realize that you're spending a slot and a very expensive IO just to knock down one or two enemies every 10 seconds on average... be sure you couldn't use that slot (or the inf, if that's a factor for you) somewhere else to better effect.

after rethinking it I probably wont be using the caltrop ragnarok proc, but i do have another question and dont want to post a new bulletin, so here goes....

Ive seen many people in their builds put the numina regen/recov in triage beacon, is this more useful in triage beacon than health? does it only affect me? or does it affect everyone? and does it always effect me? or only while triage is up and im in the radius? little confused on that one thank you all for the replys

Numi unique only affects you no matter what, and you should put it in health so it's always on.

I would not normally put a proc in triage beacon. It'd fire every time you dropped the beacon, but only affect you. I'd rather have it in health.

Since some MMs didn't need Stamina, some MMs didn't take Health, thus some MMs didn't have that available for slotting. Now that everyone gets health, go for it!

Health is inherent, your statement is invalid.

It appears that in your rush to snark, you failed to actually read and comprehend the post you quoted.

Actually, it is not invalid.

Inherent Fitness was not introduced until after the introduction of Masterminds.
Hence, you will find some masterminds out there WITHOUT Fitness, IF the player did not respec the toon after Inherent Fitness was added to the game.

If you didn't have fitness to begin with, you didn't have to respec to get it. It was automatically added to your build. The only reason you needed to respec was to take advantage of the three (or four) extra powers.

Does caltrops stack -speed if you throw a bunch out at one time? like if i was able to get them to stack could that be essentially double - speed?
