I estimate I have about 40 billion in storage on my characters, which does not include value locked up in base bins or slotted on characters (the number would probably be double that if it did). I don't use global email, and I don't use the market, as I no longer play and don't want my inf to disappear once my subs lapse.

Per my CIT summary 6.1 billion influence plus 1.1 infamy for 7.2 billion liquid assests.
I guess those 2-300 million characters add up fast.

Interesting. I generally have a rough estimate of the total inf across my characters, but I've never actually taken inventory before. Turns out that I have 15.3 billion inf total, which is more than I thought I had. I don't use CIT (never even heard of it before this thread) and none of that inf is on the market; it's all stored on characters at the moment. I haven't done any marketeering in over a month, and I'm considering switching to DCUO when it comes out so I'm kinda holding steady marketwise until I make a final decision on that.
is there a way to get CIT to show me total inf. I have or are you guys just adding it up manually ?

I realise that I'm committing the grievous sin of thread necromancy here, but I thought it was worth it to let people know how much inf existed in 2011. According to this article in Kotaku, there's 56,000,000,000 inf being held by players at the moment.

I also keep only 10M on gleemail for when I make a new alt. Thats an amount I'm willing to lose for convenience.
Original post suggesting the lvl51-53 falses bids...
I use lvl50 glad armor proc, i bid 1B on it (while they sell 2B)...
If ever the market drop on this item, ill be very surprised. if for some random oddity i did buy one for 1B, ill just be happy to flip it... (wont ever happend)
Maybe other ppl use this proc, or other very expensive procs, and bid half the selling value...
And int those case it can be from lvl10 to 53 (glad armor anyways)

I'll provide one data point for how I have my inf since I keep a spreadsheet.
At this time I have the following:
54.3B stored on characters across all servers.
14.3B tied up in the market in bids or unclaimed sales as of last time toon logged in (toons over the cap or whatever)
245M stored in gleemail.
1B loaned out to someone else reliable which I consider storage -- put in whatever category you wish.
