Veteran player back! Looking for active SG/VG

Hello all! I am back after a year long break (work/personal life related) but I have been a CoH player since the very first beta. I'm looking for a serious yet fun loving ACTIVE group to join, and all of my connections from long ago are gone. So I am flying blind, if you will.

I am excited to experience the new content and I just started rolling my first Preatorian character last night. Feel free to add me as a friend, her name is Cuddle Muffin

I made a come back myself several months ago. The game has really changed quite a bit - even the preference of being in a SG/VG has changed and may not be necessary anymore.

I found it easier to join the Liberty Channel (and eventually got invited to a few others, Robo Lounge, one of hazy's other temporary channels - can't remember the name).

I also built up my global friends. My point being joining a SG/VG when I came back was unnecessary.

I used to have a reputable SG/VG on a different server and found the management of it to drive me away from the game. I quit the game and switched servers, mostly.

I remember logging into the game and just doing tells for the first 30-45 minutes - managing personalities, arguments, etc. I hated it! I just wanted to play!

Anyway, welcome back.

Stay away from the Architect stuff. There is so much content now it is just a waste of your time.

Regarding the invention system, if you're confused just remember to mail all your orange recipies and salvage to @Peterbilt and I'll take care of it all for you.

I'd offer you my SG but it is NOT active, being just me and 1 friend. But we have teleporters, crafting tables, etc. if you end up looking just for that stuff.

I would join a Community Channel of Liberty to get back in the roll of things before you settle down into a SG. As someone says(Ukase Rex?) the whole Liberty server is one big happy Super Group. There is way to many good SGs on Liberty so I can't name them all.


Also, I would welcome you into Obsidian Operations but we're about 10strong right now. All play different hours besides Mondays/Thurdays which is our Weekly Teams. We're all former military, besides me and im the youngest aswell. We're also 50+month vets(besides me). We have vent and website(not sure if its still up).

As others have said, join those 3 global channels and that will usually get you into teams.

I will tell ya watching both LFA and LB is hard nowadays with all the different TFs going on. Even if you miss the boat on one, another one will come right up. And most should be new to you. Plus mother ship raids are a great way to catch up economically.

I am planning on getting on tonight. UPP should be running something so if you are on and lookin for something to do you can run with us.

Fan_Mail is essentially correct. An SG is pretty much unneccessary for most people nowadays.

Consider this - the defeated baddies drop salvage randomly. The more you defeat, the more they drop. You'll need a place to stash that stuff. A personal bin of 50 is simply not enough. (you can use the vault or personal storage space in an SG base. The number of items stored is 50 for a level 50. I can't remember if it scales down at lower levels.)

Some groups will allow you to take what you need, whenever you need it. Others have a take one, give one policy. Either way, there are many excellent SGs out there. Should you choose to start your own, shoot me a tell, and I'll form a coalition with you so you can use all the amenities until you get enough prestige to build your own base.

If you find yourself wanting to team with the same people all the time,
just keep looking, I'm sure the right one will come along.

Thanks for the channels, I'll join them when i'm on next. Sadly, I was online for 4 hours yesterday without any active friends displaying. Our SG has scattered but at least they left me the keys to both bases, lol.
