Hamidon Raid the 17 & 18 Desember

Primal Earth has been invaded by Rikti and now Praetorians. This should be enough, but apparently there are some beings out there that do not think so. Our reports have confirmed us that the creature known as Hamidon will once more wreck havoc to our city.

Right, lets get this show on the road. We have not had a Hamidon Raid for some time, so I think its time we had one... or wait.. maybe not just one but TWO?
Since Issue 19 allows Hamidon to reward heroes with 4 shard bits... and the odds of the Mito's dropping shards aswell... maybe we can get a few going.

Also if players are unable to attend one they get a chance for the one the day after.
Now, for me this means that I will need team players to lead the various teams during the raid... X2.

So please read the guide HERE to know about the Raid & TEAMS.
And post your name on the list below if you want to join in as a leader.
If you want to lead, but is unsure on how, that can be arranged and the rest of us can help you. If you are a veteran, please do jot down your name

All times will be about 6pm GMT
For now I believe it will be BLUESIDE. Unless there is a major want for one of them to be RED side.
EoE hunts will take place before the raid, see Sals and Union Taskforce for announcements.

Edit: For those new to the Raid and old vets of Hamidon, to fight Hamidon, we have to spawn him first. The spawning process will begin about thirty minutes before the start.
There will be a few EoE hunts the next week. I hope to get someone to host the first EoE hunt early in the week (as I am unavailable at that time). Date for EoE hunts will be mentioned in Sals, UTF, Union Raids (and mentioned in URP)
Hopefully we will get a good mix of veterans and players that never have fought the real thing

While the 17th is my Birthday, I won't be doing much till the 18th, so I should be available.

So I will (tentatively) offer up my Dominator (Blueside) Elec/Earth for the destruction of the Green Mitos (or the yellow ones for that matter).

I should know closer to the date what my plans are. But i have the day off work and the other half will cook for me. so i should be good to go.

One thing to add to the guide: triage and combat medic at the Hive door. No more worry about out-of-zone rezzing. Might make things a bit smoother fighting Hami now.

Another suggestion from watching/participating in a US redside raid: Warburg nukes and lots of them. Start gathering the Biological one now in preparation because it really does help dropping at least five of them before each Mito wave.

This is going well so far.
Only need to fill the team leader positions of the Ranged damage, Holder team (both days), and Melee damage team (yellow kill team) for the 18'th.
Having another team leader for back up the 17'th would also be good.

If I get those positions filled, then we got the leadership for the raids.

Updated first post with the newest additions to leadership & with the usual time for spawning process of Hamidon.
I hope to get one EoE hunt on Monday/Tuesday, this hunt will have to be lead by another then myself as I'm out of town that day.
The other EoE hunt will take place on Wednesday or Thursday. At some time during prime time I believe (or for sake of ease 6pm gmt )

Hope to see a lot of players in this raid (new and veterans). Here are some reminders:
1. Bring your nukes (as Tyger suggested, we may decide to use them to speed things up?),
2. bring your hospital dayjob temp powers (rez and heal)
3. For melee damage remember to pick up the travel power fly or a temp flight power.
4. Show up early (less time to wait to get the team made and actually fighting).
5. When announcing yourself, it does not help mentioning just your AT. For speedy entry to your team provide information like what your character excels at: Holds, ranged damage, single target melee, healing, tanking buffing, etc...
6. Bring your good mood, as usual.

An EoE hunt will begin on Monday at 6pm GMT (or 7pm CET).
Hana Li will lead this on the isles north of Peregrine Isle.

Got myself a HVAS, Shivan and Bio Nuke ready, will get the other nukes if I can be arsed ;D

Well then Mega, I guess I will host another EoE hunt in the middle of the week Maybe Wednesday?

Hmm Tyger, I suspect then that on the US they keep attacking when the Bloom shows up? They do not run back, regroup/rebuff then jump back in (as one force)?

In all my years I have never fought in a Hami raid. I hope to be there both nights (different toons) to join in the fun and pick up bag of shard candy. At the moment I plan to use FrIce (Ice/Fire blaster) on Friday and Spiritess (bubbler) on Saturday. Should be a blast.

Apologies, but I've been told this morning that I'm working until 8pm on the 17th now, due to staff shortages at work. I'll still gladly assist with EoE gathering and turn over my current holding of them towards the raid.

I will however, be sat at work silently cursing for missing out! :'(

Hmm, I'll just have to get a few more players on board for the leadership. At worst I think maybe Helen would take the group. (as Helen will be leading the yellow kill team the day after ;D)

But i'm sure I will be able to fill the leadership spots (but do not be shy to give your name up for leadership)

So do join in on this (now) Festive Hamidon Raid as we will get the winter event just prior to the raid.

well if any spaces become availiable in the instance come 8pm ish (although I expect that Hami will be long defeated by that time) I'll head into the Hive and reinforce whichever teams need me.

Working on late shift all this week so will miss out on EoE farms and first raid. However should be good for the 18th and I'll take my broadsword/ regen scrapper 'Chastity Girl' for yellow mito bashing.

I'm glad to see the responses from first timers and players that have earlier been unable to attend, to get a chance at the big blob

Since i'm not near my own pc (can't log in), I hope the EoE hunt was a good one. I'll be hosting another on wednesday I think aswell. I hope to get all the team leader spots filled that day also.

I hate to say this at short notice, but due to starting a new job today I cannot attend the 17th Raid, and as such won't be able to lead the tank team.

I also have work at 8pm on the 18th, so I will be attending the tank team, but due to the limited timeframe of roughly 1h45m (15 mins to get to work etc.) I feel its best to not lead the tanker team on that time, simply being a part of it instead, due to the possibility of having to leave rapidly if the raid exceeds the time I have.

I will try to contact you in-game asap to repeat this message, but for the moment I'm only able to access the forums.

Had to do some creative changes, but as you see Team leaders for Friday (Todays raid) is filled. I hope to get a few leaders from todays raid into tomorrows raid.
