we will be posting the funds spent on our server. We did leave perc with a small balance.. we tried our best to blow it all lastnight .

I think there is a 3 bil balance left.. we may be able to have perc kick this back to us for the events we will have in December. Since it was champion that donated it.

To add to what Cherry said...

I have no issue making sure what is left goes to where it came from and only used here for Champion...

Don't worry all avenues have been covered before we made this decision

We have it exceptionally accounted for! I have updated the Auction thread to reflect the amount spent and the money left. Rest assured... no matter what... PERC will use it for Champion! We guarantee it!

PERC can keep it's money. I'd say you can take donations, or possibly sell a bunch of Championites again. That usually brings in lots of $ and I'm sure that wouldn't change in this case.

Also... like Cherry confirmed we do still plan to do the Auctions in January (as is tradition) just not under the PERC Banner. We have had LOTS of people in the community asking when the next one would be and dying with anticipation for the next one. So do not fret... we will be hosting the third annual Player Auctions in January! Stay tuned! All is in motion!

There have been times when I've wanted to be on the organizational side of something, but PERC didn't seem like a good fit. I could get behind an idea like the one above.

They aren't.

You are part o' the community, but he's not speakin' on your behalf in this case.

Amily,

Though you deleted your post, I still wanted to address it. The letter is definitely my words (signed by all the Reps of Champion PERC) and only represent what us reps have been feeling for quite some time. I apologize if you feel I am speaking FOR the community. I do not believe the letter is meant to speak AS the community but rather TO the community. However... as Cobalt best said "parts or generous portions" of the community have spoke to me and the other reps both in public and private about said happenings. I found it only necessary to clear the air and no longer ignore frustrations and doubts. It may sound a tad ironic to leave one group because of x,y,z then start another for x,y,z but the new cause is not identical. It isn't so much about having a said banner but rather having a variety of resources and creating a useful coalition that ALL of Champion can utilize. It isn't going to be about making sure the group is always hosting events but rather that individuals, sg's, and community representatives are supporting the server and providing events but having a very beneficial support structure for areas that may seem lacking. No matter... the goal is... to continue making Champion the most amazing, supportive, and eventful server out there!

PS: Yes it may sound like I am bad mouthing my previous job, I hoped to do so as diligently possible. I did not want to go into details but there is still a belief I have in the support systems PERC has provided. I would not have spent two+ years organizing many events across servers if I had thought it would be a waste of time or not be a good entity.

Good Luck with your new committee.

Champion has always rocked community/server-wide events. I look forward to anything that the former PERC reps are involved with; you've already proved to be excellent organizers and responsive to the wants and needs of other players. Thank you for listening to the server concerns about PERC.

Good Luck with your new committee.

No that's Cherry, Amy and I (only when called for, mind you) And that's just in PvP...

But to address the OP's topic, I understand what Dazz and the others are trying to accomplish and I'm behind it 100%. Champion Server is a large server that has massive amounts of creativity. (As do other servers as well) This break from the norm may not be what everyone wants. But that's ok. Those of you who do not are not required to assist/attend/promote/donate to any events in any way, shape or form. All they want to do is make this about US, The Champion Server. Sometimes our guys would have to do events on other servers through PERC as part of a monthly quota. When is the last time you EVER saw an event hosted by another server's PERC rep? Other than the occasional appearance for judging or whatnot, I've never seen one hosted by another server rep. However, our reps had gone to other servers to host events because they were required to.. But why waste their time helping out other servers when they would be better appreciated here? I love our reps and all of the hard work they put into the community events. They no longer need PERC as I can attest a great number of you all will be behind them as well as I to support or server in anyway we need!

I'm thrilled to see what's in store!

That statement is innaccurate. Not taking away from any validity of why the reps felt the need to leave, however PERC doesn't require any rep to volunteer on any other server. The only quota they have involves doing events for their own server.

True enough all the reps help across all servers and I am sure they feel obligated to volunteer being most every one does. However feeling obligated doesn't equal an actual required quota.

no, they didnt require it on paper, so to speak. It was done because people from other servers didnt feel represented by their own servers rep's or more often than not, they wouldnt bother to show up. This was loud and very clear at the last mr & ms when people were allowed to cross server and see how we did it on Champion. Time and again all we heard was complaints about their servers reps and lack of interest in doing anything. It's a pretty sad state when during others servers judging us Champion reps are the 1s having to answer ?'s because their Rep(s) put them on ignore after telling them all to "shut it and deal with it".

PERC is getting ready for their elections for 1st and 2nd chair and we felt collectively that the direction PERC is heading, and the lack of care for who they are to be representing, wasnt what we wanted to support. We have felt this way for a long time, but, due to the 29 bil champion rocked at the player auctions, we wanted to make sure that $ was spent. There had been on a couple occasions, discussions of that $ being used elsewhere on different server(s). As it was, we ended up donating some to the Mr n Ms winners, in addition to paying out our servers winners.

There was more than just a quota for doing things for our server. There was "spotlight" events that were to be done in addition to the quota for us... which, we were the only server that lived up to it, and more. We know our server better than anyone, and 80% of the time, we had to meet specific criteria for events and it was frustrating because we knew the events were lame but due to the perc stamp on us, we had to adhere to them. We were often made to tweak and conform to what people that had zero to do with this server, wanted.

Anyway. Moving on to better things. Just wanted to say thanks for the thoughts and opinions.. positive and negative.

They actually wanted us to donate more out of the money that was donated at the player auctions but Dazz and I donated out of our own pockets to shut them up ...
