Limits on Set Bonuses?

OK, I posted a build on the Brute board, with 6 partial sets of Crushing Impact, they said I couldn't get the bonuses from more than 5 sets of Crushing Impact.

What are the limits as to how many sets of a certain type will work?

It's not the actual sets per se, it's just that only up to five of the exact same number count. eg: if you slotted four Doctored Wounds and three Red Fortune (both of which have 5% recharge bonus), the recharge bonus would only count the first five of them.

EDIT: Don't forget, also, that some specific enhancements such as purple sets are marked as "only one per build."

Technically it's not the value of the set bonus that matters but what it's named. You can have more than 5 of the same value set bonus if they're assigned different names in the game. Of course that means you can't get a bonus for more than 5 of the same set, but it's not always the case when using different types of sets even if the bonus is the same.

For the most part the only place this really comes up is Global IOs.

Globals work as set bonuses, but pretty much all are uniquely named. So you can benefit from the Huge (I think it's called) recharge bonus of 7.5% five times and five LotG:Global Recharge IOs

Is this the part where someone posts a detail about a game system, like saying you can only have 5 copies of the same set bonus value... then someone else chimes in to add clarification that is rarely useful to the person being informed, such as the limit being set by the name of the bonus... then someone else starts to talk about the hows and whys which clarifies the first clarification, such as pointing out that each set bonus is treated as a power and all of the current set bonus powers are set to be limited to five copies, but it would be a trivial matter to create a set bonus that allows 10 copies or 2 as the difference is merely a single number in a spreadsheet....

Is that the sort of situation going on?
