Suggest using a different credit card, or try using paypal if that doesnt work. The NCSoft store has been having issues for quite some time.

As a last resort, you can always call the support line

edit - or it might be you are trying to get on euro servers but purchasing from the US. Dont know if that would cause a problem or raise an alarm

Nice to know about people trying to get on the EU servers!

Anyway, the only thing I can think of, off the top of my head, is that you've recently made more than one purchase on the NCStore (within the last couple of days) - it sometimes throws a hissy-fit if you do that.

Oh, the other option is that it's saying "Hey? Someone in the US trying to purchase an EU copy of the game? Say WHAT? Nuh uh."

As said before, try support - they're probably in the best position to help you.

I thought I just read something here in the forums not too many days ago about the possibility of the EU servers either being merged or moved over to the NA side of things. Might be worth investigating that before anyone commits to begin playing on the EU servers right now.

Merging the server lists only means that the NA servers will be getting access to 4 more servers while the EU servers will get access to 11 more servers.

No, the EU Servers, that is the actual hunks of circuitry and metal, or at least the data on them, were moved to the US. A physical move.

An EU-US Server LIST would mean ALL the servers were on the same list, which would be a good thing. As of yet, there is no news of that being possible, although its hoped for.

Actual Server Mergers are not happening. Because they are a really ****ing bad idea. End of.

Tl;dr
Theres nothing wrong with the EU servers. But the NCSoft site is still a pile of shite.

Right. I guess my point really was does this mean there will no long be a distinction between being a EU player versus a NA player? Will the game simply have 15 servers as far as -any- player is concerned? I guess these are the kinds of questions I'd be asking and want to be sure about if I was planning to start a new "EU" account anytime soon.

One could logically assume that since the actual server hardware that was in the EU is now in NA that at some point some kind of merge/reorganization will happen. Not much point in calling them the "EU" servers if they aren't in the EU anymore.

Obviously I'd agree that a "unified EU-US server list" would be better than an actual server consolidation. Again that's why I think these would be fair concerns to know about. There might not be any point trying to start a "European CoX" account now if the concept of there even being EU servers is going away pretty soon.

You say this as if it's a bad thing.

OP, there's been no official word on server list merges, in fact when the servers were moved, the announcement explicitly stated that there was no server list merge so I'm not expecting anything any time soon. But I live in hope.

I agree with everyone else, try support. The NCSoft site has been having issues with cards for ages now. Best of luck in trying to join us, hope to see you soon.

Yes -- be incredibly patient and persistent.

This person who posted in the EU forum had the same problem as you, but after a lot of to-and-fro with customers support they finally got it sorted and bought their EU account:

Good luck, and hope to see you on the EU servers soon. :-)

Well, as long as we are a seperate server list from the NA serverlist, I would definitly say that yes, we should call them the EU servers.
Although I do hope that in the near future there will be one serverlist and thus one community (instead of the two seperate ones that we currently got).

The physical server move of the EU servers from Germany to America was one step towards this. (gogo Devs and Company, make us one community)

Candied Bacon Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Candied Bacon-Chocolate Chunk Cookies
adapted from The Great Book of Chocolate

Ingredients:

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks (Chips are fine.)
1 cup Candied Bacon Bits (recipe follows)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 325F. Line three baking sheets with a Silpat liner or parchment paper.
2. Beat the sugars and butter together until smooth. Mix in the egg, vanilla, and baking soda. Whisk together the flour and salt, then sift them into the batter. Stir in the chocolate chunks and bacon bits.
3. Using a small cookie scoop or a teaspoon, scoop the cookie dough into small balls, about 1-inch in diameter, and place them 2 inches apart on each of the baking sheets.
4. Bake for 14-16 minutes, or until pale golden brown. Rotate sheets halfway through baking for even browning. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.

The cookies can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for 3-4 days, if they last that long!

Makes about 3 dozen 2-inch cookies.

Candied Bacon Bits

adapted from David Lebovitz

Ingredients:

8 strips bacon
1/2 cup light brown sugar

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400F.
2. Lay the strips of bacon on a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat or aluminum foil, shiny side down.
3. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar evenly over each strip of bacon.
4. Bake for about 15 minutes. Midway during baking, flip the bacon strips over and drag them through the dark, syrupy liquid that’s collected on the baking sheet. Add the rest of the brown sugar and continue to bake until a deep mahogany color. Remove from oven and cool the strips on a wire rack.
5. Once crisp and cooled, chop into little pieces, about the size of grains of rice.
