I don't agree with that because we don't know the drop percentages yet.

Regardless of the percentages a primary with little to no AoE will have a harder time getting them compared to a set with AoE.

Terror is a great player on whatever he decides to play and always has a spot on my team. I would invite people I know to be good players on anything.

It's only when I start inviting strangers that I worry about AT and powersets. And very few can be stranger than je_saist

Pretty much the same answer I would have given.

I've said it before, and I suppose I'll say it one more time: If you're having trouble getting teams on a stalker, perhaps you should consider finding new people to play with. I have a DM/Nin stalker, and I have NEVER been refused a team invite based solely on my AT. And that was in my global channel.

If the only people you ever play with are min/maxers who absolutely MUST have the most optimal team for any given mission/TF, the problem isn't with the AT you play, it's with the people you are playing with.

Contrary to apparently popular belief, the game is NOT about collecting as much loot as fast as possible. It's about having fun playing a video game with other like-minded people.

If I'm refused a team because of the AT I happened to log in with, I simply make a note and try to avoid that team leader in the future, because that kind of attitude usually means they are someone I would not enjoy playing with anyway.

Somehow I think my Kin/Regen stalker will do just fine. And for the record my main toon (see sig) is Dark Melee, a set with a huge single-target focus.

Don't worry, you'll be okay. I promise.

My guides:Dark Melee/Dark Armor/Soul Mastery, Illusion Control/Kinetics/Primal Forces Mastery, Electric Armor

Now that we have a really rough idea of the drop rates, it seems like lolincarnates indeed.

It is SO amazing how different servers are like completely different games community-wise. People really say no to stalkers just because they're stalkers? I never once have had that problem with my lv50, 37, and 24 stalkers. And the 50 has been accepted onto master runs led by people who'd never even played with me before.

I just ran three TFs on beta. Had a stalker along the whole time, he even ended up being the leader on the third one. I was on an Empathy Defender. I picked up 10 incarnate shards in a few hours.

I don't see any problems. And after that I quickly soloed the arc to unlock the alpha slot on my Energy/Energy Stalker. That was pretty quick and easy, and I got a shard out of the deal. So yeah.

Yup. My KIN/WP flew through the Incarnate Arc.

Now, what I don't know, is if you can fight any of the EBs as AVs. And even then, if you could...it would likely be tough!

I am in the process of stripping IOs off my stalker so that he can be deleted as we speak :]

Although not entirely the cause, not wanting to have to run all that content/TFs on a stalker of all things was a large contributing factor in the decision to delete her.

I wonder if in I20 the 24 man trial will be looking for a DPS team. Sorta like what you see in Villianside Hami raids. If Castle feels the current game system is unfair to stalkers but the dev team doesn't have time to address such deep flaws in the game code, will he develop tasks in team play that stalkers will excel at?

When I want to do a Task Force, no matter the AT I'm on, I'll lead and recruit, so I'm not just blowing smoke.

I take the first 7 people who want to come. For anything. I think badges are stupid, so I don't care how many times people die. I want people to be having fun, because people tend to play better that way, so I tell people to bring what they want. I've been on TFs with 2-3 Stalkers since GR moved so many red-siders to blue. So long as they're killing something, I don't care that a Scrapper or Brute could do it 10-20% faster.

I'm a min-maxer. And I know this for sure. This game is too frikken easy to be wasting time worrying about these small swings in performance when building teams. And that said, the only reason for the disparity IMO is: 1) Stalkers who try to rely on AS; 2) the general lack of AoE in the AT. The first is correctable.

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

My Spines Stalker did quite well in TF but my Bane does even better due to all the team buffs and debuffs (up to 60% resistance debuff) from Surveillance, Venom and Shatter Armor. When I feel I want to play like a Stalker in a large TF, I use my Bane. In fact, I've decided that the first toon that I am going to focus in i19 is Bane, followed by Fortunata.

If it's a TF that is not so hard, I'll consider using my Stalker. Spines Stalker's experience is a lot better on a large team to be honest. I also have good experience with my Kin/Dark Stalker but I messed up his build when I took epic powers...blah, they don't critical (yet)!!!

The burst damage from Surveillance, Build Up, Shatter + Shatter Armor is very very comparable to Assassin Strike. There is no setup time. Just run in and smash.

What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
