I was wonder what are some good farm missions on villian sides that would be good for ss/fire brute preferably ones that do fire damage. I'm wanting to farm for purples so i don't want to do AE.

Set your difficulty to x8 and run them solo

Depends on the kind of merits s/he's after.

Not true. Oroboros arc level 50 "The Code Merlin". You can restart over and over until you get fire types. 2 kill alls and then a kill the elite boss demon for 4 merits and arcane drops.

I tend to just roll with it regardless of what type of possessed scientist spawns.

No, you can't.

What you can do, is reroll over and over until you score a toon with the "right" scientists

There are some out there, so never fear.

If you want regular mission farm for fire on red side, run the "demon farm". It is a bunch of fire throwing possessed cot in the ship. You can do that one fine. I think this is Vernon Von XXX, but I can not remember off top of my head. It is a level 50 arc, so you can find it on paragon wiki.

AE has several all fire damage missions, if you wanted to farm tickets or XP.

Hmm, I do it a lot on my elec/elec and I sometimes get stone, sometimes fire. I don't get the same thing everytime. But, hey if I'm buggy, then I'll take it =)

There is another map offered by one of the npcs in grandville that has all possessed scientists on a cargo ship. However even if you do get the right damage type, they also do a lot of -to hit. So I ran that map a bit with my SS/fire. Since I had lucked out and gotten fire, I took very little damage, but I would sometimes take longer then expected because my to-hit would get debuffed down to nothing. That is even with rage bumping my to-hit up to 100-130%.

Thanks for all the input. I didn't see any CoT missions from Vernon von Grun. Anyone know which contact it is that gives that demon farm mission? Also i got an Fire Damage AE farm that i run its just getting boring and the account that has the ss/fire brute doesnt have the expansion so farming the tip missions won't give me the merits so not really getting much from those.

That is the one I mentioned, "Code Merlin" from Tavish Bell. first mission is a kill all vs possessed scientists in the crey building. Second is the one you mention kill all in the tanker. third is kill Arch-A demon in a random crey lab. But I do it as a kill all.

Heroes - Unai

Unai gives a variety of maps that are good for farming. Some popular ones include:
  • The first one he usually gives you is a bunch of council in a war-zone like outdoor map. It isn't a bad map, and council are decent for farming. It is somewhat oddly shaped though, so if you have to spawn it for 6 with less (or more) people on your team, it can be annoying.
  • Family: This is probably the most popular of Unai's farm maps. I don't remember how far in it is, but its a good ways in. It is a nice rectangular map that requires clicking on 11 altars to complete. This means you don't have to worry about accidentally killing all the mobs and completing it. And if you have PuG members, you can always watch to see if that counter is dropping and then kick someone before they grief you.
  • Freaks and other: There are some other farm maps in Unai's various arcs and missions. If you have a character you don't think you are going to use for farming, you might want to run all of his missions and arcs and see for yourself what you like.

Heroes - Harvey Maylor

Harvey Maylor also gives one of the more popular maps. The Demon map (praetorians, technically, rather than CoT) is about 7 or so missions in on his arc. When you unlock him, you will have to do other missions for him until he offers you "Find a souvenir" (from memory, it might be slightly different). On his demon map you have to be careful since it is a "defeat all." I generally leave the following groups:
  • The far northern raised alleyway: I do not fight ANY groups in here (there is usually 1, and sometimes 2 groups up here).
  • The very last SW corner group.
  • Lately, I have also been leaving any groups in the mid-area raised section if the group is on the western side of the map. That sounds weird, but I am being more careful lately after I had this map get completed on one of my non-farm characters (a runaway mob with rad debuffs aggroed a lot of extra groups, and we lost track of which groups had been left alive).

Villains - Television

Pretty much the only good farm maps come from the Television arc on the villain side. This requires unlocking the Television contact and then doing a few of its missions. This is similar in difficulty to the Hero side process of unlocking Harvey Maylor. There is no villain side contact like Unai that gives out farm maps right from the beginning.

Okay, above I copy-and-pasted from a website called http://www.brighthub.com/video-games...cles/7759.aspx
This is just the second part of his 4-part farming guide (its an older guide, but still covers farming basics, says i12 changes.. so probably that "old")and lists some "good" farming missions. It is missing the "snake farm", but the snakes deal toxic damage. I know its in a patron arc , which patron I am not sure. And of course any other farm-worthy missions. I don't farm, so I couldn't tell you what they are.
The Television farm is the one filled with Nemesis, but you probably know that already.

For you though, I suggest Harvey Maylor's arc. It has the "demons farm" , filled with Praetorian Demons (the ones summoned by Infernal).

Tavish Bell, the Crey guy, in GV, gives a CoT possessed scientist boat mission.

They are usually some form of grav/fire or kin/fire. On that map, taking fire dmg is second to your immob resists. That being said, they are easy to kill. Fire dmg will work just fine against them.

As said above, switching to blue side for the original demon farm is probably the best fit.

I would go for the Heroes demon farm if i had expansion, but not gonna buy it on more than 1 account. So ill try getting the farm from Tavish Bell and see how it works out.
