This thread should only be used for discussions about this specific event, PvP Boot Camp season 1.

I will be posting general PvP topics/builds/discussions on the other thread as it will act as a foundation for any future seasons of PvP Boot Camp or PvP University events.

Question: Do you recommend/expect the teams to start having impromptu PvP practices now, or is that best saved until after the next meeting?

I will be attempting to throw 'impromptu' matches when I'm around. I do need to get some stuff done for the pvp league on champion but if anyone wants to like throw anything together feel free to use the channel.. you know like... "Anyone want to run a few matches?" or "Im about to run XXXXX anyone want to join for the accoalde"

A couple of more updates:

PhillyGirl was kind enough to allow us to use her Vent server. Out of respect to her and her friends, I would ask that when we are on her vent server, that we immediately go to the rooms that have been created for us.

For those people without Vent, Ryxx was able to broadcast our meeting via xfire and has agreed to do so each week. You will be able to hear (and see if you want to watch from there) our meeting and you can always respond or ask questions via global chat channel or broadcast.

We have another vet pvper who would like to join us as a ringer emp and as soon as all the details on that are worked out I will tell you all more.

Rice has volunteered to run a mid season 2v2 tourny with a total prize package of >2billion, which would bring the total amount of funds allocated to this event to over 6.5billion. So if you guys see Rice on the global channel or runing around Victory please say thank you.

If anyone wants to watch some team arena pvp practices

The team I am on (on champion) will be practicing tonight at 9pm est. If we can get a scrimige against another team hopefull you guys can pop over on a lvl 1 pb or something and watch as a flying camera.

FYI, after I complete my Patron arc, I'll be able to help anyone with either Patron Arc or accolades on either side. Jaded will have all her powers and levels (finally!)

Meeting Notes:

PVP Lessons
-Went over evading tactics on different maps
-Practiced sand boxing with Grav/TAs
-Played two matches and practiced locking, spiking, target calling, and evading

Politics
-Team Diminishing Returns was renamed team "Pew Pew Pew!" and MP was appointed team captain for the first match.
-Team Travel Supression was renamed team "Pimp Hand" (someone correct me if this is incorrect) and Elegost was appointed team captain for the first match.
-Smallz was adopted by team Pew Pew Pew and Philly was adopted by team Pimp Hand.
-New team captains will be elected after the first match (or teams can keep current captains)

Characters
-Since everyone is level 50 you may go ahead and Accolade your character
-Since everyone is level 50 you may go ahead and slot/IO your character
-Everyone will be provided with 1 -kb IO and some inf if they post their global here. Masque will send this via global email.
-Everyone will eventually also get 1 performancer shifter chance for +end and 1 kismet so you do not need to purchase these.
-People should use money from ticket rolls to purchase recipes/IOs for their character. There will be additional prizes given after matches.

Team Pew Pew Pew specific:

-Practice is at 9pm est on Tuesdays
-Join the global channel Pew Pew Pew
-We are thinking about a team uniform, so get ideas ready
-Work on your accolades, we will try to do some as a team

Team Pimp Hand Summary:

Practices on Sundays, prior to the ship raid (7pm est), after regular meetings on Sunday (however long we decide at the time), as well as practices on Saturday (time undecided as of this writing), and maybe even spontaneous practices during the week for whoever may be on.

Accolading/side-switching will be done on your own time, and during team practice time if needed.

@Linarra. Great practice last night. I'm getting more of an idea of how to 'strategerize.' Still need to work on sandboxing skills, I'm new to the Grav/TA, so I'm still laying out my trays and getting used to the powers.

I'm surprised at the sophisticated coordination (all my previous encounters with PvP have been in the Fight Nights, and those were usually effectively Free-for-alls, with an occasional call on targets. This stuff is "State-of-the-Art-Bang-Bang!"
