Too powerful zombies and loss of XP

Are the zombies supposed to be *that* difficult? And am I getting XP debt/loss of XP bonus everytime I die from their attacks?

1) Yes. They're scaled level 30 enemies, and rather tough ones compared to say the Banished Pantheon. They are a PITA for a lot of lowbie characters, especially pre-SOs.

2) I don't think so, Debt is switched off when an invasion occurs as far as I know.

The Zombies aren't that tough once you're higher level. Low-level characters might have some trouble with them, but even then, if you take them on in small enough groups, they're fine.

You only get debt if you're higher than level 10. I'm not sure if it gets turned off during the invasions or not, but I would think not.

Debt had better been switched off, or else!!

Man, lvl 30? And I was feeling so awesome being lvl 20 in Praetoria!

Thanks, guys. I'll surely discourage other lower lvls such as I (below lvl 30) from facing these monstrosities - in small and uncoordinated groups.

NO! I've just died AGAIN and my bonus XP bars ARE disappearing!

WTF?!?!?

Debt seems to be given in Praetoria for zombie invasions, even though there is no debt on Primal Earth (as far as I know) for the same event. I guess it's a bug, I also guess it won't get fixed this year.

Your Patrol XP is disappearing?

As far as I knew the Invasion Code in general (and Rikti Invasion code specifically) is supposed to switch off debt while it occurs.*

Exactly.

Bug it. Probably won't get fixed quick, but it's still a bug and should be reported. Meanwhile, just go about your business. It's not like debt is a big deal, especially these days.

They are susceptible to fire damage. My 40 ds/pain rools zombies they barely make it out of the ground.

The event is suppose to apply power called Debt Prot 100 which will show up by your health bar like any other power affecting you, if it isn't, send a bug report.

Thanks, people. I'll verify the debt protection and report it as soon as possible.

If you're looking at ToT zombies - no debt protection.
If you're looking at event zombies - there is. Or is supposed to be. Just had one not too long ago on Pinn, and yeah, there's no debt protection showing.

Of course, if you're downed by one during an invasion, the debt protection still applies. The protection is attached to the event being active in the zone and not the mobs themselves. Sure you knew that, but just saying for the benefit of others who may not...

The Rikti invasion, yes. Zombies... Let's just say I died several times as a lowbie yesterday and ended up with 2 bars of debt by the time it was done. I was a lvl 11 or so.

I haven't ToT'ed yet.

As for the event zombies, I am not getting the debt protection. I've already reported the bug.

One thing worth noting: because the patrol xp is 1.5x, the blue bars empty faster than the pink bars fill, so it may seem you're losing patrol xp even when you aren't.

They DO scale since they use the invasion code, but they do seem to be considerably harder than a similar minion/lieutenant.

I'm a 43, and I can fight them for a bit, and have to retreat (I can hit unstoppable, but if the invasion is still on when it goes off...). With normal mobs, I can fight them almost constantly (or even just stand in the middle of a few and pop "whirling hands" on auto while eating a sandwich).
