PvP? Check!
Take out the AVs in the story arcs? Check!
Exploration? Check!
The only badges it couldn't do on it's own, are team specific challenges (which includes some PvP and some PvE badges) and GM badges (this may include the AVs in RV).

Stalker.
- Stealth to get around, get exploration early, pick out specific targets, etc.
- Low HP to help with damage taken and debt badges.
A blaster.
Well, funny thing is that there's badges for debt taken, and for time held/slept/immob'd. There's also badges for healing others. These are not exactly a melee class's strengths. ANY AT can take down 200 bosses that are -15 levels below you.
"Damage taken" looks like it -should- be easier (cuz you have more HP), BUT, i'm going to warn you now that IO HP bonuses, and bonuses from accolades, get in the way of the damage that counts for that badge. Because the badge only counts HP subtracted from your BASE value, not your TOTAL. So i'd go damage farming before going after accolades, just a head's up.

I've got almost 1000 badges on a petless Mastermind, but that's not a melee class so I guess it doesn't count.

I still remember the people actually complaining about players who made such alts, as if it was ruining THEIR fun, and them trying to convince everyone to not play with petless Thug players. It was so ridiculous. XD

My badge hunter is my Arachnos Widow. I refer to it by the AT name, because when I face EBs, AVs, and etc. solo, I can finish them pretty quickly with a chain of Placates and Slashes. On the other hand, if I'm in a group for MoSTF or some such, I can play Night Widow, but I'd prefer Fortunata, since I can stay out of PBAoE range.
Only thing is, you'll have to wait for i19 for Praetoria to open up for those extra badges.
