"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

Throwing in a different view here: An example of something that would really be "super"- I've love it if Lusca were ripping up the dockyards in IP rather than just waggling tentacles in the air. When attacked by a team, I'd like the critter to start chucking freighters at us. And the SS Tank should be able to catch a ship and throw it back.

Is this remotely likely? No. Is it even possible? I can hear the dev's tearing out chunks of hair even thinking about the coding required to do that. I'd love it if all of that were possible, but am not going to mind if it never shows up.

I've found that killing everything helps trigger the last glowie indictator. Skipping a non essestential mob may be why it didnt show. *shrug* at least a few times when i have gone back and defeated everything its then displayed where that last clickie is.

Remember to /bug missions that dont show the last objective indictator too.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

Most missions that I solo I tear though scores of minions, and then beat on an end bad guy. Much like in most comics they line up to be fought and dont swamp you.

I've played many MMOs as well, though none for anywhere near as long as this one, and I never have found one where you don't start out relatively weak. That is a necessary component of gameplay, IMO. If you start out powerful, then what are you building towards? Why bother getting to L40 if I can take on just as many bad guys at L10?

I do agree that travel powers, regardless of the band-aids that have been put into place, not being available until L14 is silly. Not a gamebreaker, but very annoying. Rather like capes not being available until L20.

A true comic book simulation would get boring very fast, IMO. Although, for me, I have no 50's because I get bored with the lack of any real perceived progress of my characters after L40. If the game was changed to make you feel more powerful at low levels, I'd likely never get a character over 20, and soon quit playing altogether.

@Doctor Gemini

Arc #271637 - Welcome to M.A.G.I. - An alternative first story arc for magic origin heroes. At Hero Registration you heard the jokes about Azuria always losing things. When she loses the entire M.A.G.I. vault, you are chosen to find it.

Me neither and I own a N64 Superman game. It's really bad. The game nerfs his superpowers. Heck, a brute with fly can do better.

Thank you for that explanation! That makes sense and is completely consistent with what I've seen.

Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.

Just to throw this in--if you want to find glowies easier, change the sound. There's a great post about how to do it. It's very easy and makes those things much, much, much easier to find. This is minor modification, so it might qualify as a "band aid" but it helps.

You know, a million years ago when i played WoW, I also used a few mods to make the game more enjoyable. Same with other games. I think, to me at least, using a few custom mods is part of playing an MMO, so I don't frown on CoX for needing a few.

You would be talking about the How to silence specific game sounds thread, which also gives you directions on how to apply your own sounds to the game.

Agreed.
If we define a super as someone who can do something that a normal person CAN'T do. Normal people can't fly (even if said fly power is slower than a champion bicyclist, but still IS Flying). Normal people can't freeze someone, etc. So, even if the power is weak, it still qualifies as a super power. Consider a ice hold. For a machine to do the same thing takes a lot of energy and time versus a lvl 1 dom's hold activation time.
As for flying, it's 2010 and we're still using cars instead of personal jetpacks for travel.
Basically, it seems to me, all relative to a certain perspective. If the definition of a super is a level 10 toon being able to solo 50 bad guys at the same time at his level and win, then this game doesn't deliver that. If one has certain ideas of what super is, best to post one's thoughts or complaints in the developer's forum and hope that someone is listening.
