War Walkers
Yeah, I'd put the War Walker at Elite Boss and up the Goliath to Monster (aka Arch-villan).
It's an EB, my friend. |
We haven't seen the Goliath version in game . . . yet.
Blazara Aura LVL 50 Fire/Psi Dom (with 125% recharge)
Flameboxer Aura LVL 50 SS/Fire Brute
Ice 'Em Aura LVL 50 Ice Tank
Darq Widow Fortune LVL 50 Fortunata (200% rech/Night Widow 192.5% rech)--thanks issue 19!
I'm hoping they change it to EB. They're way too big to be Boss.
Well.........Massively.com is a step ahead once again lol. They have some super sneaky leaky people, also they have the i19 trailer on their site.

Which is saying something. Regular War Walkers arn't exactly something to sneeze at by boss standards.
Just so long as they're not as ridiculously tough as Siege. Good grief AV Siege is tough.

The Goliath War Walkers appear on one of the new TFs that's designed to be played by Incarnates - so they could be pretty tough for non-Incarnate teams.

Those are the standard War Walkers - the Goliath class ones are are those huge ones in the trailer.

War Walkers as they appear in Issue 18 are Boss-class. Go play through the new Maria Jenkins arc and see for yourself. Golaith War Walkers, while they aren't encountered in any current missions, are defined internally as Elite Boss-class as of Issue 18.
EDIT:
I just checked the data for 1900.201009280723.0. There are multiple definitions of both, and one for War Walker is Elite Boss and one for Goliath War Walker is Arch-villain. The rest are Boss and Elite Boss respectively.
Unless the entity class is explicitly overriden by the mission definition, the highest it can be is Arch-villain.
Of course, it's totally impossible that the i19 patch might change that.

Are War Walkers the new Sentinels of the universe? No more we have to fear the Kronos Titan?
The Kronos still looks scary.
Too bad we can only have one giant monster detail in an MA mission, or I could make the Goliath War Walker fight the Kronos to see which is scarier.
I'm gonna make War Walkers fight Zeus Titans, once they become available.

I should start by saying that I am very much pro-giant robot. I'm also pro-giant robot fighting, naturally.
My question is, are the War Walkers currently implemented in I18 the standard? Cuz, geeze. I know for balance reasons they can't all be monsters or AVs, but it seems like a stiff wind could take em down at their current iteration of Boss. Something that big oughta be a little tougher to drop than a single Death Mage. I'm hoping there'll at least be Elite Boss versions, or something. Cuz if that's really all Praetoria's got, man, they oughta just stay home and spend the war chest on raising sharks. With laser beams on their heads. |

oh that would be cool though
The thing to remember is that when Cole launches his Walkers, just like nukes Malta will use this opportunity to launch their Kronos Titans and we would see a major robot battle ala Transformers on hand.
Supers vs Kronos, vs War Walkers for the planet.
Who will survive?
