Fitness Inherent?
Inherent means you get it independent of other power choices. It's like Sprint or Rest, you just get it at the appropriate level (I'm not sure what that's going to be for Fitness).
Edit: Oh, and welcome to the forums and the game, if you just signed up.
Inherent Fitness will be like Brawl and Sprint. They will be slottable. You will still have four other pools you can pick (plus one APP/PPP at 41.) If you already HAVE a character with Fitness, you will not get inherent fitness until that character respecs (no double fitness.) And IIRC it'll be available by level 2.
When Fitness goes inherent it will automatically appear on your character just like Brawl, Sprint, and Rest do. The powers will come with one slot just like the other inherent powers and as you level you'll have to add slots if you want more.
If you have characters that already have Fitness you'll probably have to use a freespec to make adjustments to their builds to take advantage of the additional power choices that will be available.
nice.
(no, i'm not a new player. :P thanks for the welcome, anyway)
Does this mean that characters get a free respec in order to free up power selections currently used by Health and Stamina?

So when will most of you put slots into, I guess it will not be important until a little later, but what level would you try to plan on having (however many you put) slots into it?
Triceth LVL 50 Ice/Storm Controller
Ghost Scrapper LVL 50 MA/reflexes Scrapper
Gespin LVL 44 Spine/Regen Scrapper
Treal LVL 41 Emp Defender
Radill LVL 41 Ill/Rad Troller
Probably pretty early. Levels 1-12, slots don't mean much since I don't generally slot TOs. Levels 12-22 are typically tough for endurance, so I'll probably have it 3-slotted with DOs by then. The real slot crunch comes in the 20's when you have more powers than slots, but I would have had 3 slots in Stamina by then anyway.

This is awesome news, well until I really thought about it. Being that fitness will be inherent, that will allow for another pool power to be opened up right? Thats great, but how are we going to have enuff slots to slot it?
Ex. lets say my current build has Fitness, jump 1 slot, health 2 slots, stamina 5-6 slotted with performance shifters. Although fitness will be inherent I still want to keep these 9 slots in it. So lets say I respec to the inherent fitness, and pick up fighting as the extra pool power... where are my slots going to come from to put into these new powers?Because I'm gonna need at least 3 slots in tough, 3 slots in weave just to get started. There wont be any except for the 1 that comes with it when you pick the power. Or unless I pull slots from other powers to put into my new fighting pool (rob Peter to pay Paul).
Am I missing something here? Will there be more slots availible too? Or is the fitness inherent concept more for the fact that peeps can open and use it early rather than to use it to add another pool power?

Or you could take powers which don't need excess slots and use them as dummies for LOTG or something. Or just have them as nice "flavour" powers (like Recall Friend or Assault or something). Or Frankenslot some of your other powers to move slots into Fighting.

My dominators get to fit Stealth, and drop 3 LotG recharges into their builds much more easily. That's 22.5% recharge.
My defenders and controllers can easily fit in Recall Friend or the Leadership pool now. YAY Vengeance!
On builds where I lived on Ninja Run for Travel I can fit a real travel power if I want to.
And those are just the choices I know for sure I'll be making. There are plenty of other alts I can try out cool things on.

Very nice, thanks for the input. I guess there is alot of possibilities and ways to work stuff in.
The new Inherent Fitness is something that has been asked for since the original Beta for the game. It is pure win. No downside to it at all, other than those few odd individuals who took pride in making a non-fitness build work. They don't have to respec, but all new characters will have the inherent Fitness.
A few folks have complained that we're not going to get more slots to go with inherent fitness. While extra slots would be nice, "complaining" about it is dumb. That's like if somebody takes you out to a really nice dinner, and then complaining that the person won't pay for a very expensive dessert, too.
We currently allocate slots among our various powers, including Fitness. You get the same number of slots, but you get three extra powers. You just have to make choices. Whether you spread around a few slots to the new powers, or choose extra powers that can be effective without slots is up to you. Mostly, I'm going to choose situational powers that would be nice to have but which I skipped due to lack of room. Rez powers. Leadership. Recall Friend. A second travel power -- sometimes Super Speed with a Stealth IO to act as full invis. Hasten for the few characters who don't have it.
For a few maxed-out characters (I only have a few), it will open up some nice options that they didn't have before. But overall, we may have to make some tough choices between "better" or "even better."

You're paying Paul more than you need too. Thats your choice, but you need to decided if you'd rather pay Paul or keep Peter at the current rate. Or maybe use Michael who works for free?
Hi...
I'm not sure I understand the Fitness Inherent thing atm...
Do we have to make it one of our power sets?
Or do we still have to select it when we train up?
