Pvp and Pve players don't get along to well do they, Can't we change that
That's why when I inherited this SG I kicked all the members and took everything for myself. Oh wait there are people in my SG that haven't played in almost 550 days. I must be keeping them because if I went under 15 members I'd lose the prestige bonus. I must really need that free 300k.
Yeah that 300k will put a huge dent in the 28 million the SG has in the bank. Oh and look in the corner there that's two dimensional vortex's They cost 5 million prestige a piece. Where will I ever find the money to pay rent.
Yeah loyalty isn't one of my strong suits.
This thread is worthy;
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

I Have a Dream that all little Pvp Players and all the little Pve Players will one day get together and be friends..........Who am I kidding that never going to happen.
Can't we all just get along. |
The worst behavior makes the biggest impression and is therefore talked about more often. You've seen "I was in this PuG last night and this moron...." threads, right?
Then what happens is that the worst of the bunch are held up as being representative as being most of the bunch.
Yeah I am totally disloyal and untrustworthy.

Land lord is right...I see that 0 prestige earned!
A virtually dead SG with resources to indulge whatever base-building whim strikes you is meaningless in terms of loyalty.

You are a landlord (for free) but where do you spend your TIME and with whom? |
I was just replying to your disparagement of my choice in where and with whom I spend MY time. |
There's nothing in those zones that you can't play the game without.
Look buddy, there's a reason that Shivans and Nukes are placed in PvP zones. Do you realize how stupidly powerful those temporary powers are? An ally Elite Boss with -def attacks out the whazoo, and three nukes: Nuclear Blast; absolutely devastating attack power, Biological Mutagens; a temporary god-mode, and Chemical Burn; debuff hell for the enemy. When eight players can combine these powers and completely floor the level 53 Archvillains of the LRSF in less than thirty seconds, you can get an idea of how awesome these powers are.
If we were able to set ourselves for "no pvp" then these powers would completely ruin the risk/reward scenario that the devs love so much. The point is that these powers are so amazing, that there's a risk involving other players competing for the same prize.
If you want these powers so badly, go play at some absurd time, like 6:00 AM, when hardly anybody is even playing, let alone PvP'ing. Heck, PvP hardly gets any action these days, the powers are easy enough to get as it is. Even during ideal PvP times on Freedom, there's hardly ever more than 3-4 people in Bloody Bay, and Warburg is a ghost town 24/7 it seems like.
In fact, I wish that PvP was more popular. I think it would be fun competing with other players over the awesome prizes. The only problem right now is that the completely borked PvP system is preventing any sort of enjoyment in PvP.

Positron's i13 letter: We are trying to make PvP more accessible to new players, while giving experienced PvP'ers the advantage that comes with formulating tactics around the new systems we're putting in place. PvP from now on will be on our priority list. If something isn't working out, we'll be in there tweaking it and making it work, for the entire future of the product, not just Issue 13.
