Uh, sure.

Seems like the choice for smashiest primary is between super strength and stone melee. I haven't played any super strength character to high level yet, and it didn't feel that smashy, but maybe that's because I was using the alternate animations. It felt more like a powerful boxer than a world-shaking collossus.

HULK- hulk comics-hero brute- SS/ wp or invis depends on comic.

juggerknot- xman-vill brute- ss or nrg melee / invis depens on comic agian

rhno-spydy man-vill brute- ss/ invis all the same some commicns he is just a /inivs with super speed...

The Brutiest Brute is most likely Fire Melee/Willpower, Fire because it has no secondary effects that slow down enemy attacks, only extra damage, Willpower because it focuses on Regeneration and Recovery, meaning you won't have to stop much and can just keep going for more fury.

This one's easy:

Stone Melee/Will Power.

Stone Melee because it makes the earth shatter and goes BOOM! all day long (and adds the mitigation WP needs to keep up with the heals when in over your head, as brutes should be all the time). Stone melee vs SS? You need rage for SS to keep up with SM's damage output, but there's no crash in SM. Footstomp is good enough fun that I could have a powerset with nothing but and still be happy with it.

Will Power because it feeds on enemies. More enemies, more fun, more english soccer hooligan on dope. It's also great because of quick recovery that helps stone melee excel.

No, Stone Melee causes alot of Knockdown/Disorient, which means the foe isn't attacking you and building fury. Same with Super Strength. What makes a brute a Brute is fury, after all.

Fire Melee is damage and nothing but, meaning it is perfect for a Brute, it slaughters enemies, and lets you build fury the fastest.

A dead brute builds no fury, and you still build fury by you attacking them too.

...and there's no SMASH! in FWOOOSH!

(my first brute was a lvl 50 fire/stone)

Fire, sure the damage is very nice, but it's not brutish, it's more blasterish.

...and a screaming sword of fire? Yeah, that is cool.... Keep telling yourself that.

Personally, I think Fire Melee look and feels very cool. But to each his own.

I'm not saying it's most "brutish" in the context of what I think the OP is asking for.

Okay, then maybe Dark Melee. It provides mitigation in the form of -to hit debuffs, and doesn't slow down the enemies rate of fire.

Yes, because there's absolutely nothing smash-y or brutish about punching things so hard they burst into flame. >_>
