Update: Strike Force Saturdays
Also, Sokyoku, I resent your comment about swamps being in NC. I refuse to believe that there are any here. At least in my area there aren't and that's all that matters. LOL

ill bring Scarab again Sok, that way you have a brick wall to hide behind for the Mitos this time..........

We won.
Not only did we win, it was actually a very successful run over all. I think there were 4 or 5 deaths and that's it. To the person that got turned away, I'm truly sorry. |
My attendance for the next SF or two might be spotty as I've been told I have more out-of-town work in my future. Next week's SF is Mender Silos or we can restart the rotation with Tarikoss. As I said before, I may or may not be able to come, so I'll leave the decision to the forum-going members of our group.
Its ok Demon and ill bring Scarab next week no matter what is chosen, these are fun events
Sigh. I miss these but, unfortunately, my time has been very tight with school, work, and spending time with my boyfriend. I log on occasionally but it's usually not for long and mostly with the boyfriend.
Just wanted to say hi and good luck on future SFs!

As always, take care of yourself (you/school/work) first, but know that whenever you're ready/free to come back we are eagerly waiting for you to retake your throne. We're kinda like Narnia. =]]
We age rapidly and everything looks different when you come back?

You should drag him along to SFS, that way we can tease, er, um, I mean welcome him to the fold.
As expected, I'm going to be out of town/game for a couple of weeks. I know I'll miss at lest the next two weeks, and the week after that is a little dicey. So, I'll see you when I get back. Have fun without me!
We ended up doing a Tarikoss SF. At first it didn't seem like we'd have enough people, but thanks to Terra Fuego's recruiting we wound up with a solid team. I don't remember our time or anything, but overall it was a smooth run. I gotta get in the habit of taking screenshots at the end of these things.
Eeck, yah. I meant to come to this but some of my coworkers were laid off this week so I was hanging out with them and kinda lost track of time. Glad to hear it went off well and will try to make it to next week's.
I have work this week so it looks like I won't be able to make it to this one.
I believe this week would be the Silver Mantis Strike Force "Pirates of the Sky" which is level 20+, worth 42 merits, and awards the Air Pirate badge. For those that can make it, meet at Silver Mantis in sharkhead isle at 8pm EST.
Ooops.. I ran the Tarikoss SF again, next week I guess we'll run the Leviathan SF. I'm fine with skipping the Pirates SF because I absolutely hate that one =P
Leviathan it is.
We'll go back and run Sky Pirates at a later date.
We started up tonight with a group of seven and ripped our way through the Leviathan SF at the fabulous speed of face-plant. But seriously, we got better as things progressed.
As we begun the final mission, Flaming Chihuahua regaled us with a story to pass the time. Something must have caught his attention, however, as he never finished. I still wonder about what happened to Defender and Scrapper.
Once the matter of that Shaper fellow and some big ol' eye were out of the way, we got down to the real reason we were all there, the massive Coralax ambush!
We fought valiantly and six of our seven managed to survive! Our poor fallen companion had to exit and put the childrens to bed. Overall, a fine run.
Also, a Leviathan run was done yesterday as well. I wasn't there, but I'm told only three managed to survive the gauntlet. I heard the Freakshow Tank Smasher that came along did a particularly stunning job at ripping the Coralax asunder.
So thanks to everyone for coming out for both of these runs (even if you didn't survive the real final battle).
It was a good run, the only faceplants were when we got separated. Our time was 1:03:18 which is pretty good since we weren't ghosting or anything. I have a few more screenshots posted Here, one of which features a robot getting tossed about while we were lining up for the official screenshot.

The key it was using was my target_enemy_far key, which I use to taunt and bring enemies in closer, all the better to burn them . I still can't figure out how that happened though. I see in my log files where it got activated, now I just need to make sure it doesn't happen again.

So, looking at the list over at paragon wiki, it looks like this week is the dynamic duo of Mender Tesseract SF and Mender Lazarus SF. Tesseract's minimum level is 25, while Lazarus' is 30, and I think last time we were able to get both done in under an hour total (not counting the brief break in between for people who wanted to switch characters). So if you want to fight some retro arachnos and then go overthrow the 5th column, meet in Ouroboros at 5pm PST/8pm EST on Saturday October 30th.
Yay, we had a lot of good players this week, and also Rin was there. The Tesseract SF was over in under 20 minutes and was a total breeze. The Lazarus SF was also pretty easy, but got very chaotic at the end when the AVs kept calling in ambushes. We managed to finish that one in just over 45 minutes, so we almost made it under an hour. And I remembered to get a group shot at the end!
Also, click Here to see a couple of bonus screenshots taken during the SFs.
Next week is the Ice Mistral SF, level 35+. Meet up in St. Martial at 5pm PST/8pm EST on Nov 6th to join in the fun.
We had a very good team for the Ice Mistral SF and managed to get it done in under 45 minutes. Unfortunately my "toggle screenshot ui" button must be set up wrong on my warshade so I didn't get the exact time or the team roster. I did however remember to get a team screenshot (minus our MM who left the mission before I could get the screenshot) as well as a couple of action shots during the boss fight and ambushes.
Click here for the other screenshots.
According to the list next week's Strike Force will be ITF so if you're level 35+ and need some roman costume parts, or just feel like experiencing the lag that you've been hearing so much about, meet at Imperious in Cimerora on Saturday, November 13th at 5PM PST/8PM EST!
Sadly no one showed up this week, except rin, who was late and couldn't get into cimerora anyway. I did manage to join an ITF that was already forming, but since it wasn't really SFS at that point I didn't think to take screenshots or anything.
According to the list over at Paragonwiki, next week will be the Lord Recluse Strike Force, and if Issue 19 makes it to the live servers before that I don't think we'll have any trouble finding people to fill a team. But, of course I'll give the first spots on the team to any SFS regulars who show up or post in this thread. So if you want to take down those pesky heroes and hopefully get some shard drops, meet up at the big spider himself, Lord Recluse, on Saturday, November 20th at 5PM PST/8PM EST.
Will this be a Master's run?
Protector Server
Woeful Knight (BS/Regen/Body Scrapper)
Kevin Christian (MC/FF/Primal Controller)
SilverCybernaut (Eng/Dev/Munitions Blaster)
Apixie OhNo (Fire/Fire/Pyre Tanker)
Y'ru Glowen (Rad/Rad/Psy Defender)
We won.
