For those unfamiliar with the group, Isolators was started shortly after badges were introduced to the game. This was in the dark, dreary times before global chat, global tells, or even coalition chat. Back then, the only way to find a person from the forums was by chance or pre-arranged meeting.

The Isolators project was started so the people who post here in Victory could actually meet and play together, so that you could have some fun with the people you chat with online. Everyone made a new character for this new group. This is an once a week supergroup that plays every 8 pm Wednesdays.

When the vast majority of the group hits 50, we start a new run of the group, switching between CoH and CoV between runs.

You don't have to be an active forum poster to join, through it's encouraged. At the very least, be a member of the community; run missions, join in advertised task forces, etc.

This is an once a week sg. If the group ends up at level 20 at the end of the night, please don't show up next week at level 25.
If you're a few levels behind due to playing less, don't sweat it, but try to catch up on your own or with a task force if you can.
We play 8 pm eastern on Wednesdays.

I'm not sure why we have this now... we've been threadless so long I don't even remember what we used to talk about here.

Talk about getting into the sg now that we're out of the cesspool of GR, where we were sgless, like animals!

Talk about the fun times we had the night before after Wednesday. Mmmmm, good times.

Still need an SG invite, but that's hopefully doable tomorrow night. I have Odinn all slotted up with 25 IOs, so he's good to go there. Should hopefully make him a bit more tough, do more damage, etc. Good stuff!

Well, we had ten people on at eight. And up to 18 on during the evening.

Team Hamster ran through the Protein arc; don't see what the masterminds were crying about. We had more problems keeping the dominators out of melee then we did pets.

Then ran random sky raiders missions. Was thinking of popping into Striga post-25 to unlock Hess TF.

Having second thoughts on my task force strategy on this character. Since I'm generally exemping for no xp to do TF's, thinking of waiting till I'm 50 or closer to 50 to do that then.

Oh, and LORD am I checking on the prices of low level devastation chance to holds. Would make jolting chain awesome.

Probably how I'll participate this time around is similar to last night; show up later on only if other people show up to make a decent team with so they aren't feeling left out. Should allow for fuller teams in the beginning for some chunk of time, but allow for late comers and the super early drop outs to not feel left out too much? This probably won't work because, my god people, you got some weird log on/off times.

Or it'll work spectacularly and force people to show up on time, knowing they won't be stuck with me later on.

You know how it is, sometimes stuff comes up. I usually try to show up on time, but hey, life is life and stuff happens sometimes. Thought the idea was always to show up on time, but still show up if that isn't possible. I don't particularly care when people show up or leave, as long as we can run teams and have fun.

Showing up on time helps with that, but I know how things go, too.

Anyway, the 5th Column/Council were just shredding me in my first team. Second team on Striga was pretty easy, even though our first mission was at a lower level. Helped having a tank and the defenses Voodoo occasionally felt like throwing our way.

Decided to pick up Tough a couple levels earlier in the hopes that it will help out with my survivability. Getting a heal at 28 will help as well. I'm already wishing Fitness was an inherent, so I could pick up another attack, which I'm kind of needing as well. Ugh.

I'm unable to login anymore out here. The 600+ meg patch is hosing me. It keeps restarting rather than resuming I can't stay in one place connected to the wi-fi for 189 hours that it would take to update in one shot.... sigh.

Well that sucks. Keep trying!

Having second thoughts on doing task forces on my Iso. Generally, I'll run all the hero TF's as I level for no xp and to encourage people catch up. But then I started to think; if I'm doing these for no xp, may as well wait till I get closer to 50 for increased inf generation.

Yeah, Hammy is all about that l33t xpz. Kind of annoying, really. He needs xp and forget the rest of us if we need more right now!

It's not the xp; it's the INFLUENCE.

Unfortunately, I will have to miss again this week. That'll be 3 and I don't see how I can get caught up by next week. I'll prolly just have to switch toons. That's kind of a drag because I was just getting to the point where I had enough AoEs and accuracy to aggro every mob at once.

Eh. With super sidekicking, keeping up with the average level is less important (but suggested). As long as you can get to the city, should be able to catch up easy. Group is only level 22ish.
