I20 Closed Beta for EU?

Just wandering what people thought about the possibility that the Eu will not recieve I20 closed beta access due to i19 being out at the same time, although nothing concrete has been set yet, the rumour mill has already begun to turn to yet another stab in the back to the EU.

I enjoyed the GR beta myself, although simalarity's between preatoria and real life have seemed to come to pass within the game as from what I can deduct :-
EU=Resistance, with tiny pockets of groups voicing there opinion
NcSoft/NA Servers=Loyalists, Not bothered about the small groups and sucking enriche big time.

Although I re-iterate that confirmation of us not recieving I20 CB has not come to pass yet, but given the recent track record we cannot be blamed for being pessimistic.

A possible suggestion could be that they could put I19 CB or the NA servers and use I20 CB for the EU servers would be more fairer and nobody could complain about being shafted.

What do you guys think?

I don't think we will be involved with the (at least early) CB of I20 however, I am not that upset at that prospect.

I definitely wouldn't call it a stab in the back.

I would imagine (having no expertise in this matter) that it would take more hassle and time to actively involve the EU in the early stages and I, for one, believe that they have more important things to worry about than appeasing us especially as if the EU were to be included then it would only be a tiny percentage of our population that would qualify for inclusion (using whatever criteria the devs decide)



There is not being treated as equals and then there is demanding extra special treatment...

Maybe there is a Closed Beta for the EU and it's just something that can't be discussed without violating the NDA?

If they take that tack with any complaints then they'll have a free ride until after I20 launch.

By that point everyone will be whining about something else. ("Waaaaah, someone can do something that I can't, nerf them now or the game will shut down tomorrow." - the usual, in other words).

When it comes to testing in the EU, most people give up on the prospect, lets face it, we are few and far between compared to the US and we get the call at different times so that when we do enter the test server there is almost no other bugger on or there your level. Tests can be boring and slow then.

With the US starting before us, which I think happens, you end up behind on patches, which I think happens and half the probs you might come across seem to of already been discovered. In a nutshell I just think I'd sooner be new to any fixed versions when they come out live to save wasting a horrendous amount of time, being alone, trying to get around annoying bugs that ya just have to wonder got through the first beta when Paragon Studio employees look at it which I think happens.

I can't really see it being worth their time to do the early closed beta for I20 in the EU.

Whenever I was on the GR beta, I saw at most 3-4 other people online.

I'll be happy to be wrong, but with that sort of population level, it's likely not going to be worth the effort of getting it going in the EU.

Overall, I'm not worried. I've still got plenty of Going Rogue that I've not played yet, the 'Stamina for free' effect means I'm more interested in I19 than I20 anyway and finally, I can wait. Patience is much Underrated

Yeah cant really see EU being involved in such an early closed beta for i20, let me know whats in i19 first before have a crack at i19

Possibility? My dear fellow, we won't be getting it. With a signed NDA it is more than likely to be NA only.

Isn't it a little early to have this accusive a thread? I swear, I'll never understand my fellow EUers.

However, I doubt we're going to get into i20 Closed Beta. At least initially. With the signed NDA, there are likely legality issues that would prevent us from testing until the NDA belt was loosened a little.

I'm one of the first to decry how poorly the EU is treated in comparison to NA, but I think you might be jumping the gun a bit here old son. I think waiting and seeing what the plan is before we get up in arms about something.

Anger over speculative issues is wasted energy and frankly we've got more important battles to fight when it comes to NCSoft and the EU

I will wait and see what happens ,I do not expect the EU to be in the first wave of CB testers,the fact that there are more people in the US that seem to enjoy jumping in and finding the bugs than EU side, so let them have the pleasure.I will not be upset even if I do not get to test it as I have never found a bug in closed beta yet.Mind that could be because by the time I get the invite most have been found.

Beyond the time issue (takes longer to get the NDA back) there shouldn't specifically be much of a difference between someone in north America and someone in say the UK signing a NDA.

Having them doesn't rule out EU involvement.

The timescale and the number issue does.

And that sucks.

Did they specify that it must be physically signed, or just an NDA that you have to hit 'I Agree' too, like they did for CoV?

Pretty sure we will not be included into the I20 closed beta.
The US favortism was clearly shown in the GR beta.

They not gonna give us a beta server, and i really doubt they'll block off our normal test server for 3+ months for the closed.

We'll get the I20 beta when it's closer to release and they can use our test server for it.


I do hope i'm wrong, but i would be VERY surprised if we'd be included from the start.
