Need help picking an APP

I have a DM/FA Brute sitting at 30-ish right now. I guess this really boils down to 2 questions.

1. How much more effective can I expect him to be with the new changes to Fury, FE, and Burn?
2. Which APP would be most benificial?

I'm considering Pyre Mastery because it's thematic... but Energy Mastery is looking pretty interesting... especially Physical Perfection and Focused Accuracy.

Then again.. I really like the idea of jumping into a mob, slamming down Soul Drain, Melt Armor, FE, and Burn.

melt armor doesnt really do that much for you, like 7.5% resistance or something? Big whoop. The fury changes are good, phyiscal perfection may be a good choice, but fireball from pyre would be an AoE machine so, the choice is yours

Consume and whatever the end drain in DM is called should be enough to sustain you, so energy mastery isn't really worth it. Melt Armor is a waste of time, but Fireball... now that's something good. But the problem here is you can get Dark Obliteration or Lightning Ball in 2 power picks, where as Fireball requires 3 power picks.

LB does more damage than DO, but it works as a DoT, however you can take the Immob from Mu to add to your AoE damage some. Still gonna be all DoT, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Soul mastery! Its all win. Gloom at 41 then dark obliteration at 44. The new fiery embrace will add fire dmg to them so they burn and get to hit debuffed. You can even pick up soul tentacles for more aoe.

Mainly thinking AOE attacks for APP since DM has no full aoe attack that can fit in a an attack chain.

If you have the room Fireball would be the best AOE you could get, but would cost 3 powers. For brutes, Melt armor is pretty much crap. With the exception of AVs, most stuff will be dead in just a few hits anyway and a little extra -resist will not make that much difference.

Soul Mastery gets you Gloom that does great damage but it is a DoT and Dark Obliteration and would keep on your orignial theme with dark and fire.

Now if you don't care about the theme then you could go with Mu for Ball Lightning and Elec Fences. 2 Decent AoE attacks but they are both DoTs as well. However, on a farming build, those 2 attacks combined with your damage aura, Soul Drain and FE can melt a huge spawn in a very short amount of time. Then you can burn whatever boss is left standing.
