Elec/Kin
My Electric/Kin isn't particularly high at the moment but from my experience (both live and in beta) and what I've read Electric Control is one of the weakest control sets in terms of actual damage output so I wouldn't expect to be able to farm very well with one.
Electric is great fun to play (IMO) is good in terms of damage mitigation through various things such as knockdown, confusion, sleep and endurance drain.
I'm sure those with more experience of their Electric/Kins will be able give more info!
I tried an Elec/Kin on Beta. In many ways, it is similar to an Ice/Kin -- low damage, so your Fulcrum Shift doesn't have all that much to buff. Most of the damage came from the Gremlins, so it is very, very slow to solo. There is very little damage in the main powers. It will be a good team controller, but compare it to an Ice/Kin rather than a Fire/Kin -- after 32, you can solo, but it won't be fast.
(In fact, the aura originally had damage, and it was deemed to be too powerful so the damage was dropped.)
I decided I preferred the combo of Elec/Rad, mainly because of the synergy with Choking Cloud. Combine the Immob+Endurance Drain+Sleep Patch with Choking Cloud, and you have awesome crowd control -- but it mostly relies upon the Gremlins for damage.
LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

This is concept build for now, based on how I've been playing my Electric/kin....
I believe that if you can't stand, you can't fight... this build i s set on heavy -end drain and -recharge.... the way the def on this toon is built is to allow me to get into melee range by passing all the ranged and aoe attacks that i will have to break thru to get in range if sleep doesn't work... once in range, melee is not an option... can't stand, can't fight.... leaving them helpless and allowing my pets to benefit from easy kill buffet and buffs from FS,SB,and ID.... let me know what you think

"once in range, melee is not an option... can't stand, can't fight.... "
Ok, I'm not trying to sound dumb, and I haven't played an elec/kin so I have to ask. How are you knocking them down? I've read every power discription and looked at the build but the only thing I can really see is what you put in brawl. That's now how you're plannin on knocking everything down are you?
I'm just flat out missing something here

I've played a fire/kin fairly high and have a 50 ill/kin. Elec/kin is giving me some fun sessions. The comments about damage are correct - you have none. But I'm only level 14 and already groups of mobs are endurance-less within seconds and my Conductive Aura keeps me flush with blue in my bar.
It's a fun character in a group. Might even be fun solo once I get the gremlins.
I played my Elec/Kin through Praetoria exclusively solo. I relied heavily on my Vet attacks (and NPC allies) for damage, but the mixture of hard and soft control is fabulous.
It's not going to be a "plow through an entire map of +4/x8 in 15 minutes" character no matter what you do, but an Elec/Kin is a lot of fun to play and will be welcome on any team you'd like to join.

The synergy from Elec and Kin, from what I can tell, is the endurance drain from Conductive Aura and Transference, but you wouldn't get that pairing until 35. That's a long wait.
I promised myself I wouldn't, but i too rolled and Elec/Rad, and it's pretty nice. The massive -tohit debuffs keep me safe in melee range, drinking up end.

Hey,
I have a level 50 Fire/Kin that rocks, so now im thinking about making a Elec/Kin. Any thoughts or idea's out there? The Fire/Kin I have right now is mainly for farming and I'm wondering if I can do one out of the Elec/Kin? Anyone have any good builds? If so, please post them here! :-)
Respectfully,
-Kibowi
