Is Mid's Accurate???

I put a Mid's build together that showed my toon being def capped for s/l, f/c, and e/n. But after respecing, my in game numbers come up a few points off across the board.

Is anyone else getting this discrepancy?

Finduilas is right on here! The def numbers match up when I am in melee range of one baddie. But the dam res numbers are still way off from what Mid's says they should be.

Mids says: S/L 90%, E/N 54.6%, F/C 55.8%, Toxic 54.6%, Psi 70.5%

In Game says: S/L 90%, E/N 31.07%, F/C 32.33%, Tox 31.07%, Psi 0.00%

Am I missing something or is Mid's off?

When I open your build, I see 90% S/L, 31.1% E/NE, 32.3% C/F Resistance. Toxic: 31.1%, and Psi is 0%. So, it might be that you're using an older version of Mid's?


Edit -> Yup, you're using version 1.6 something. The current version is 1.8. Remove the current version, and download the latest.

Hmm, those look like PvP resistance numbers to me. Are you sure it's set to PvE not PvP?

PvP mode does change things but I've found a few probs with Mids. However they come about I don't know but to pick on one thing I had a res set only accepting dam and kb enhancements somewhere. I just change my own and don't update.

Aett has the right answer! Apparently I was running 1.6. I updated to 1.8 and the numbers all match up now.

Now then the question begs, is it possible for me to get anywhere close to the numbers I had with 1.6??!!

I bet 1.6 defaulted to having PvP Mode turned on and 1.8 defaults to PvP Mode off. It's the only way you were hitting 70.5% psi res.

So, the answer is no. Sorry!


[edit: To be clear, even with 1.6 you couldn't get those values in PvE.]

There is a problem with Defense Debuff Resistance, at least on scrappers.

It looks like Mids is not applying ED when computing DDR numbers.
Katie V's numbers are more revealing than mine as the build Katie V checked has all SR defenses at 3 or more slots whereas my build had only two powers with more than 2 slots, those being Focused Senses and Evasion.

I would be interested in having some tankers also check their live build vs Mids to see if this is a problem in other archtypes with DDR.

But hey, having the latest version of Mid's, versus one that is about two issues old, is always a good thing. He couldn't make a character on that that used the new powersets, for instance.
