Me thinking that KM is slow is just experence of not being able to do something to save my bum like pop a green or click the get more HP power. I originally posted this when I was in the new zone witch is really tough. Found that out with me Fire-Stone tank. So it could just be that while the animation is doing it's think I want to pop a green and can't, this mostly happens while streaming powers together, but I like my KM/Invu Brute he is fun to play even more so now that I have some awesome IOs on him.

It's perception. I haven't seen any proof that somehow the numbers do not match with the actual performance, and they certainly seem like they take as long as they are supposed to from what I can tell. You are hitting on why some people probably think it is slower, since there is the windup/charging before the attack. That's part of the flavor of the set, though, so if someone doesn't like it, oh well. No way you can please them all.

I couldn't even begin tell you how many times my Broadsword/Dark Armor scrapper has died because I needed to hit Dark Regeneration but I was in the middle of Head Splitting at the time.
My Claws/Regen used to die frequently before they got rid of the ridiculous pause at the end of Follow Up.
Any power set that has any animations at all that are 2 seconds or more can have the problem of not being able to heal when it needs to.

KM Is my absolute favorite melee set right now, and as for the animations, I hope whoever they had do them work on the animations for all future sets, I love them that much.
The slow comment is silly considering I have the first attack on auto on my brute and it actually get's annoying the way it slips in my attack chain before I can use what I want because it's so damn FAST
