Discussion: Announcing the City of Heroes Design a Loading Screen Contest!

I keep getting error messages from the hero files concerning missing fonts and the files being damaged by disc errors. But it's my understanding from reading this thread that as long as I can get a file with the three pic layers filled and saved I can send it in without having to deal with the font issue by doing anything with the title layer. Is this correct or will not adding the zone name hurt my chances, even if the proper font is missing?

Um, I have a question.

Do they find the account to give the rewards to, by looking up your E-Mail address? Because I'm not sure what to enter for the "First and last name" part, because my last name is incorrect on my account. Should I actually enter my real last name, or the incorrect one on my account page?

And another thing, I didn't know how to send a link as an attachment, so I just put the link in the email, like this,
"The Picture:
[the link would be here]"

I also added additional comments, apologizing for putting a link in there, would these two things get me disqualified or something?

I'm getting errors opening the files too. I'm using Photoshop CS5.

H_LoadingScreen_1: "Could not open your request because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered."
H_LoadingScreen_2: "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."
H_LoadingScreen_3: Opens, but some of the frames have discoloured pixels.
HAZARD_LoadingScreen: Opens, but some of the frames have discoloured pixels.
All three villain screens seem to open fine.

oh and I have tried it on 3 computers so its not my computer

also I saw this was Asked but did not see an answer are we allowed to mess with orientation ans such of elements on the template or do you you want them to remain that way?

Your screenshot is the most important part of the whole psd file. The discolored pixels on the frame are not important.

You aren't allowed to mess with the template beyond typing in the Zone title. Everything else remains the same. You are allowed to use adjustment layers only on your image to correct gamma or other things but you should not apply adjustments directly to the image.

If you search for red names in this thread you'll see confirmation in what I've stated above.

The files have once again been updated, which should hopefully make the whole process go a bit more smoothly and minimize the occurence of errors! Our apologies for the inconvenience!

Still couldn't get the hero 1 to load, but 2 and 3 I've been able to work with despite errors.

So, when are we gonna find out who the winners are
