Suggestion - Veteran Reward - Capes at level 1

Would it really be game breaking to allow long time players to have capes at level 1? I have been playing this game since June 2004. Why is it that after six years my heroes still cannot start out with a cape at level one? I understand why it was in the beginning however that was 6 years ago. Please add capes at level one as a vet reward so any new heroes or villains I create can start with a cape of choice instead of the valkyrie or magic cape. Thanks,

He means real capes. Arachnos soldiers have capes at level 1. And with GR allowing side switching, you can make a Praetorian Soldier hero with a cape already! At least that's my understanding. I havn't gone to pick my GR up yet.

There's also a variety of capes and cape-like costume pieces acquired through veteran rewards, collector's editions, and booster packs. These are available at lv1.

Okay. Say you get your wish and the next Vet reward is capes at level 1. Now you have to wait six years to make a level 1 character with any cape. Is that REALLY the best solution to the problem?


Issue 16 made me feel like this.

Your understanding is wrong. VEATs and Kheldians cannot be rolled up in Praetoria.

And the Arachnos capes are tied to the Arachnos costume slot with minimal customization allowed.

That said, I've always wanted capes at level 1. Odds are that already 6 years old war will never be won.

I dont want all capes to be ready at 1.. means at 20 i dont have to think- cape or not to cape. plus i like having 1-2 things to do at 20. new cossie slot n cape missions.

what next can we have auras at 1? again same thing.

i like earning stuff not being given to it at the start, gives me something to look forward 2

It's kind of funny that basic capes still require characters reach level 20 to get. You have to remember that when capes first appeared in this game the Devs had spent so much time and effort to get them working that I think they considered them a "great reward". Since capes were these "special" things they decided to make it so that players had to achieve some significant milestone to have them.

In the years since then that whole idea of capes as "special" things has become out-of-date. I wouldn't have any problem with them removing the level 20 requirement, but somehow I don't think it'll happen because they might consider the effort to 'undo' that concept more trouble than it's worth. At this point it would also devalue some of the other Vet award capes and whatnot. *shrugs*

Personally, I used to believe that allowing any capes at level 1 was a mistake. I mean standard cape have to be unlocked at 20, they all should have followed the same rule.

With many of the boosters/versions allowing for capes at level one, I think they should just make all capes available at level one, and have a special unlockable cape for the Cape Mission. And no, not Hero 1's cape either, signature pieces should remain signature, perhaps a modified version of Hero 1's cape.

I highly doubt the majority of people bought the boosters because of the capes. Not all the boosters had them.

The Magic Pack is the only one I can think of off the top of my head that had a highly distinctive (and sought after) cape.

However by your logic shouldn't the mutant wings have to be built at a work station like all the other non-vet wings.

What exactly are you arguing about? That I thought that all capes should have beeen unlockable at 20 with the cape mission?
