Free Server Transfers

I don't know about you guys but I'm excited about the FREE server transfers we'll be getting next week.

I've played on Liberty for only a few months (enjoying it much btw), but I gotta make sum rooms for meh new toon concepts.

My question is this - Do you guys normally move off your lvl 50s to another server to make room for MOAR or do you just move the toons you don't really like to preserve them from deletion?

I enjoy leveling much more than the lvl 50 content so my opinion probably differs a lot from yours. Off to do some major planning on moves....

The two parts to your question are kinda the same thing....I move 50s off my main server that I dont really play anymore to make room for more which is keeping me from just deleting them to make room for more.

Well, I move only toons I just can't bring myself to delete. I should probably move some of my 50's but I play them all We just need more slots.

I buy more slots. I use the free transfers to rename the toons for free. But then again I get free renames when they generic my toons. Those *******.

I've never transferred any of my 50s off. I can't bear to part with them and still play them.

I know some people transfer off their 50s; play to 50 for the challenge, grow bored with it, make another character to play to 50. It's how they have fun - that challenge to take a new build to 50. That's just not me.

I wish we could buy more than 36 slots. I would.

I like it here on Liberty and I like all of my prestige going to one existing solo SG base, not scattered between servers. I used the last round of free transfers to consolidate all of my viable heroes over to Liberty from Freedom, Virtue, and Triumph. (I was pretty scattered when i started playing.) This round I'm transfering all of my side-switching villains off of Infinity over to Liberty.

Between a half dozen villains moving over and more than a dozen new characters planned for starting in Praetoria, I'm running out of Liberty slots on both of my two acoounts. (I'm about at Steele's numbers.) I'm therefore moving a half-dozen of my least favorite existing Liberty characters in tye mid-30 leve range lover to whatever server has their names' open and parking them there.

I also wouldn't mind if the maximum number of slots on each server was raised.

So far I haven't moved too many 50s off server, but I'm at a point where I've got almost nothing but 50s and no room for new toons. Then again, I have mostly been working on IOing certain level 50 toons and have had little interest in making new ones. This will likely change in the near future.

I'll likely be transferring quite a few 50s over to Liberty from Champion. It'll free up some space and allow me to hop over for a raid with you folks. Expect to inherit a few Defenders.

If i don't like a toon by lvl 35 then i delete it. I recently went thru and deleted all but 5 of my toons, most of which were 50s. I typically roll a new toon every few months, get it to 50, fully slot it out with IOs, then it sits there until the situation arises for which i created it (usually a TF). If it sits there for longer than 5 months without any use, i respec and sell everything then delete it

I transferred two lvl 50 toons I don't play much at all (no plans on them either) to different servers...so I guess my answer would be, "yes."

I have a bunch of 50s I had transferred off the first time transfers were free, I think I moved them to Justice. This time around I have more 50s to move, maybe I'll move them and the others to Champion
